I’m glad I’ll finally be able to download logos. I guess you could do it somehow in the PS2 game thru your computer with a usb card but I could never get it to work.

How do you change the names of some custom wrestlers because some are in japanese the ones i downloaded from fpwnet?

Can you do title matches with downloaded wrestlers in single matches, or title matches at all for that matter. I don’t know a lot about this game, but I want to create, download, build factions, sim title matches etc.

Macho Sadness REQUIEM That doesn't have anything to do with copyrights the reason they got rid of it is because Yuke's and Visual Concepts wanted all versions from last gen and curret gen to be the same and also curret gen consoles doesn't have the built in hardware to support it since they can't read auto cds

I've been noticing lots of questions in the comments for these FPWW videos. Clearly, FPWW has sparked an interest in some potential newcomers. I think it'd be a good idea to maybe do some Q & A videos, or beginner's tutorial videos for this game. There's a lot of information to absorb if you're new to the FP series, and a lot of that information may not be easy to come by.

The AKI grappling engine is basically an expanded Fire Pro one. The AKI games were developed by former Fire Pro Wrestling developers.

Only similarity I can think of is there's weak, medium, and strong grapples, but the grapple system is timing based.

My assumption is the limit for edit wrestlers is the same as the PS4's file size limit for save data, which is 1GB. Given that each edit is maybe 1-2KB, it may as well be unlimited.

How to download the game

Why dont people share their savefiles? Its FANTASTIC that theres a workshop but...lol...after a download frenzy one finds oneself with a daunting task of organization

I read that they are putting in feature for custom themes is that true? Does the game have classic facepaint Muta? I know he will be off colored and with a fake name like in FPW on PS2 But I am curious if he is in? Last question how many Alternate attires can in game wrestlers have like for example can I add more attires for sanada? Also does it take a caw slot lke 2k series or does it just aed in to alternate?

Muta paint is in and you can have four attires per edit. Custom themes are coming in a future patch.

Yes, PC has had support for custom themes since... October I wanna say, when it was still an early access title. The PS4 version will be getting it in a patch about a month from now. There's no default wrestler version of Muta like in Firepro Returns but there are three different faces, same ones from the PS2 game, that you can use to make one; and some other parts in case you want to go for a look closer to his mid-late 90s facepaint design, the same one that was in the smackdown games for years and years. All wrestlers can have up to four attires. Since there's no custom texture files or, since it's a 2D-based game, sprite sheets for wrestlers (...yet), the actual amount of space these wrestlers take up on an HDD is minimal in comparison to the 2K games. As a result, while there's a theoretical limit to how many wrestlers you can have -- each one is maybe 1-3KB in size, there's 1024KB in a single megabyte, and 1024 megabytes in a gigabyte, the hard-coded file size limit for save data on PS4's operating system IIRC -- you're never, ever going to hit that limit. You can load up the default roster as models and add costumes to them, change their stats and movesets, etc. as you see fit. So if you want to not only have a SANADA dressed up like he was in All Japan or Wrestle-1, but one who uses the same moves and behaves more like that version of him, you totally can.

If they have more than one attire when you select them for a match you can go left/right for the other 1-3

I keep trying on my PS4, I downloaded the certain wrestlers I wanted, it says "subscribed", I restart my game. And it never shows the downloaded wrestlers in the "Retired" slot. Am I missing a step?

Unlike the earlier games, there's not a huge roster of fictional characters - I assume things have changed since 2005 when it came out in Japan. I know there's a new intellectual property and trademark protection law in place in Japan, Korea, and several other east and southeast Asian countries called the Trans Pacific Partnership, which may influence things. Instead, there's a roster of about 60-70 wrestlers, split more or less 50/50 between real life wrestlers from New Japan Pro Wrestling and fictional characters in a company called SWA. Of the latter, a few are essentially remakes of wrestlers from Fire Pro Wrestling Returns. Karts Rowdy is based on FMW's Hayabusa, Dag Boomer is based on Big Van Vader, and Steel Johnson is based on New Japan dojo head Kotetsu Yamamoto. There might be others who I don't immediately recognize as well. As a result, and this may admittedly be a bit of a turnoff, the game is highly reliant on community cooperation in making enough guys to let anyone make their dream roster. I had gotten the game in Japanese, just to get a peek at the content a couple of weeks early... so I've been trying to add some familiar faces from the US to the PS4's community workshop. At the moment I've slowed down while I'm waiting for Spike Chunsoft to release a patch regarding an issue with corrupted save data -- I haven't faced it yet but apparently there were still some week-one growing pains for the game.

SWA rules is a MMA-style match with a round system. Victories are based on submissions or knockouts by default but I believe you can turn pins on as well. If you disable submissions and set it to one round with a sufficiently long time limit, you can basically use it as a Last Man Standing match. S-1 Rules is based on K-1 kickboxing rules. As a result, there are no grappling moves whatsoever. Like SWA, it is round-based and has knockouts only. And like nick watic said, League mode is a round robin system like the G-1 Climax. You can set it with up to 4 blocks of wrestlers, or just throw them into 1 block.

Am from the UK and I can't even get these downloads the game is difficult to play and gets boring real quick because am always hitting the same more over and over

Each character takes up like 10 KBs or something so. Could have 300 wrestlers and it's only 3 MBs

Coming in September or early October. Other than that I'm not sure how it will work exactly. My guess is that the game will generate a "music folder" file stored on the PS4 HDD that contains the music you import in. That or it will use a USB drive plugged into the PS4. Both of these methods have been used in some games released by Bandai Namco in Japan and Asia.

It doesn't work the characters

I've never played fire pro wrestling & I'm getting really tired of the WWE games. The gameplay is horrible & that's the most important aspect for me. Would you recommend this? The graphics are slightly off putting but it seems like a lot of fun to play.

Yes. The gameplay is worth it. It is timing based, no button mashing. You gave to wear down your opponent and work up to big moves. It's replay value is insane.
