FPV Wing Racing - Wings Over The Valley

The Wing Racing League UK, an idea formed in the dark, deep (and often wet) valleys of South Wales.
They are officially affiliated to the British Model Flying Association which provides many benefits to them and the pilots entering races and events we hold.
As the name suggests, they race fixed wings. Specifically ‘Spec’ wings, which follow the specification agreed by our friends over the pond in the USA. Typically this mandates a fixed wing, of foam construction and a maximum of 4s with a 2200kv motor.

Their sound is more like an F1 car - high pitched. Oh he actually said "that's hot" as it had been on in the gunk with no cooling air :)

Enjoyed the video but what standard do you have to be to enter, I'm classing myself as a newby, I can fly a fpv drone around a field in acro, but never flown a wing, ordered a S800 Reptile and electrics to put one together?

@@karlc9773 this was my 1st time racing. I think you will need to be a little practiced in flying a wing, get some flights under your belt before entering. Remember, no help from flight controllers are allowed in a race, all manual.
