I think the Son hype is slightly premature - Son couldn't have asked for better conditions to score in that Burnley game. Will also be interesting to see how Ange integrates Johnson into the Spurs attack.

It would be insanity for Spurs not to shuffle things however they need to in order for Son to score, though. He's an asset that can clearly be used

Hello guys, i am a long long term fan and sub of this pod. The reason i have chosen to comment is because i wanted to offer some feedback on the pod. What really disappointed me was how you guys never spoke on whether you would get Maddison or Son first if you owned neither, if Maddison would prove better value, was the extra worth it if you could only get one etc...Felt like this pod too one sided and clouded by your own teams rather than empathise with what different managers might be debating this week with their own teams. I say this with the utmost respect as someone who has not missed a single pod in months/years. It almost felt like you were constantly pushing everyone to just get Son come what may, which was a bit too heavy for my liking.

Hi Lyndon, we appreciate your continued support and feedback. This is something new we are doing, it's just our initial thoughts and it is definitely a bit knee jerk, it's not the gameweek 5 pod which comes next week. By then one week would have passed and we have much more time to discuss and analyse different options and routes

I feel this is how this season is. Last week, Foden was a must have but now it seems ok to sell him for Son. You have to choose your style of play, either you solve the most critical issue in your squad or you hop off one good player to another.

Are we not gonna talk about LR's Foden promo from last week????

You need to share more thoughts about what you would do if you already own Maddison. I missed that perspective in the last pod, and during the Son discussion today I'd love to hear your thoughts about whether you'd get him of you're already on Madders. Same regarding Sterling/Foden last week if you already had Madders then.

What's the correlation between Son and Sterling? Literally none. Arsenal and Liverpool aren't tough fixtures offensively for Spurs. Arsenal rest defense looks awful and prone to counters, Liverpool play a high line, I would argue that Son is more cable of a double digit return against Arsenal or Liverpool than Sheffield, who are gonna pack the middle and bait Spurs into crossing opportunities, they won't be giving up the space that Burnley did.

Had to play my wildcard in week 4 after taking 3 hits since GW1 and still ending up with 3 injured players…of my GW1 team I suffered 6 injuries in first 3 gameweeks. Now I've finally had a week with NO injuries… I've now abandoned original Salah strategy for depth across the board…

Best decision this year for me, Keeping Son from gw1 and now seeing everyone jumping on him. Gone from gw rank of 2 million to 300k this week.

LR, not slating u but uve been so big on Foden in the past 2-3 weeks and just cz Son scored a hatrick out of the blue, u want to move on ? Son first 3 games xG ( he did play out of position in phases too in those games) were 0.05, 0.13, 0.08.. even in his hatrick game, his xG was 1.smthing. Aren't u hyping up the Son move especially when they play ars and liv soon ? Im just trying to understand the logic of jumping from foden who was ur boy not too long ago..

Son as striker is extremely enticing for me

It’ll be hilarious if Ange plays Richarlison up front at home against SHU to get his confidence up. There’s also Brennan Johnson who can play there, he may get a start in this “easy” match. People knee jerking on Son after 1 game.

Ange is trying to win not get players confidence up lol. I doubt he changes a team that just scored 5. Plus its much more crucial for Spurs to get the best out of Son who is a world class player as opposed to Richarlison. Obviously anything can happen but I doubt it

@@johnfinance8053 If he’s Brazil’s no.9, he can’t be that bad can he? We’ve all seen what he can do and of course the manager needs to try and build his confidence as getting the best out of all his players is part of his job and Richarlison is not going anywhere. Spurs v Burnlely was ideal for Son, not all matches will be so time will telll.
