I am really loving this series, very innovative for foxhole, especially the storytelling. However, I think a change of pace from tank ops could be very refreshing.

Foxhole menu screen made me come here, that devs know what to do to keep a good relation with creators

All I can say is if you have a plan for movement stick with it. There was absolutely no need for you to turn off into the scrap field, and all it did was bring you right between the colonials pushing evil eye and armored reinforcements. It was not a search and destroy mission, it was a flank. I understand it though, tunnel vision is a common thing, especially in a tank. You just really need someone to keep people on-task, cuz once someone saw a single colonial they put their brain in the glove compartment. If you'd hugged the coast to the north as you had planned it would have circumvented all of that. That said, what he said about haveing an infantry screen is absolutely true, a tank without infantry is dead if it does not keep moving. Moi seeing that map post also was an excellent move, you should always look for new intel on the map. Also shoutout to Xendu at 18:10 for blocking a 68mm with his body. Ablative armor indeed.

I joined the wardens in war 83 near christmas and seeing these large operations play out from your perspective is great. I was at Kris Ford Bridge during this operation and the bridge went quiet as they started diverting more forces to deal with the resistance you guys put up, could do some decent partisan work and helped us prep more defences. Up the Spuds

Salute. I missed this Op but the next time logging in and seeing Wardens mount counter-attacks to gain land again did give me a sense of hope that thing's arent always lost as quickly as they seem

You could tell the tanks wanted to fight but the infantry wave on their flank seemed to terrify them

It's always interesting to see the Warden perspective of the war, specially with this level of editing and commentary. Great video!!

Oh, War 83, the longest of wars, the Steinerest of the Steiner counterattacks, "I aint hear no bell" Collies, I'm glad I was playing for that one, I think that was one for the annals...

You know I would be interested to know at what level this Colonial push was organised. Taking Tempest Island seems to have outflanked and lead to the fall of a bunch of others and it was done much faster than the previous engagements. Do the sides have a high command and was this planned there will extra resources being brought over? Was this something in the works for a while? Or is it just there were some really good regiments in that area who just won on a man to man level and there was no planning beyond "Take the next position"?

The Collies still need logistics so it makes sense for them to have their own command system. If they don't they would get curbstomped by the Wardens because they ran out of supplies during battles because no one is interested in running logistics.

Both sides are basically the same in this regard. Both sides have groups that focus on certain aspects of the game, aspects like Logistics, Naval Operations, Land-Based Armor, Combat, and sub-categories of each. The high command is determined by how much these groups communicate and organize with each other. Some days it feels like everything is going smoothly, other days it feels like somebody nuked Jade Cove.

There are levels of colonial 'high command' that regiments can opt into, however most operations are groups of regis coordinating with each other within regions.

Being on the Colonial Side, we weren't infighting, or doing things randomly. The Intel Chat was doing just that, giving intel, and when there was intel about enemies, the people reading chat acting on it. And we started calling out places to push against and take over. I only joined the game 6 days before the end of the war, and my first day was just running around learning and not doing much. The other 5 days tho, I was in All Sight, on the far north right, stripping those Scrap Yards with Fellow soldiers and turning all that scrap into Gas and Bmats for the Soldiers. Along the Main Road heading to the West and the Frontlines, was constantly rows and rows of Trunks and Tanks just being shipped to the mainlines. On the 4th day, 2 days before the end, the town had 60 Light Tanks, fully fueled and Loaded with Ammo, and just given free to any player that wanted/needed them and told to head to the frontlines. The day before the war ended, the 3 nearby Scrap Yards were constantly stripped clean, and Tanks were being cracked out by 6 people constantly, and the town was a mass of people working together, transfering items, building tanks and other vehicals none stop, stripping scrap, making resources. And no one was telling us to do this. We just did it. We got scraps in the yards, lets move it. We got Bmats in the Refineries, lets make supplies. We got extra Refined resourced, lets make tanks. There was no command for our Logistics telling us to do these things. We just did it. The 'High Command' was mainly just 'We need Logis for this base', 'There are soldiers trying to flank at this location', 'Everyone get to X (If I remember it was the location to the far left on the map) Location'. The only time someone actually stepped in and took control, was when the map on the far left was full of people, and the one leading the charge on that map told people that were not essential to not go there, and only the fighters and Logis with supplies need to be there. We didn't need no command. We just worked together, even without talking. Through those 6 days, I opened chat to talk maybe a total of 6 times, and most just questions I had as a new player. We did our work religiously, and flawlessly. Not for ourselves, but for the War Effort.

Collies are not strategic as the wardens, ill admit. I play Colonials and the reason i can see why they won is simply, morale. At the end of the day, this is a game and you are more dedicated to a game, the more you enjoy it. There is basic level originization, but it operates on "see job do job", you can do multiple roles from moment to moment depending on what needs to be done. And everyone is willing to go that extra mile, or be leanient. Everyone is generally accepting of new players or people who arent being the most tactical. Vehicles are commonly given away, and are also commonly shared or leant away. Collies a have a major focus on every soldier being able to learn the game and do as many jobs as possible. Wardens had superior tactics, and when they were working they were nearly unstoppable. or at least unpusable. Collonials, on the otherhand were unrelenting, trying a variety of tactics and doing what needs to be done simply because everyone was enjoying the team effort. During the whole time ive played, hearing someone else tell someone else how to play instead of how they want to play is extremely rare on collonial sides. It lets unorthodox methods to flourish, and people dont let good ideas sit back to bad ideas from the mob. TL;DR Wardens are much more organized but no organization matters if people get burnt out. Collies keep good morale even in losses due to the lack of pressure compared to wardens

AYE I fought against you guys here. I was running logi for fun then got caught up so i ended up staying and fighting you guys.

If i were a logistic busting my butt off to make those tanks and loose them in a few minutes, i would just be very sad.

Here's a strategy recommendation for your tank lines have a tank behind the other tanks for one another tank needs to be rearmed there's another tank that can move forward to take its place

Battle for evil eye. Warden Territory is often named after irish gods, and named in Gaelic. evil eye being a reference to balor. a fomorian god and the most powerful of them. balor could destroy fields and fields with only a glance of his his third eye. fitting for evil eyes purpose as a missile silo capable of leveling a whole area of the map/ and most of all fitting such a brutal battle would be fought there. and tuatha watchpost thats mentioned at the end is named after the fomorians adversaries. the more regal Tuatha De Dannan. as im watching this and picking up on the named locations im realizing how much i recognize about this and how it relates to irish mythos.

Tfw I can't resist the urge to armchair general over this lol. Yall have an over-reliance on armour and you use the wrong armour for the jobs at hand. You need fast movers and AT. Outlaws, scout vehicles, and trucks! 😂

Sidhe is pronounced like shee. Tuatha is pronounced roughly Too-a. Many of the place Names in this game are Irish and the language was crammed into the Latin alphabet with some difficulty. Sidhe means spirit or perhaps fae. Tuatha roughly means tribe, probably a reference to the Tuatha de Danann. Who are the pantheon of Irish mythology. Knowing a little of the language makes watching people who play this game both very amusing and very frustrating Anyway, good video as always! looking forward to the next one

You should practice rotating companies so you can have teams in the off hours when everyone is asleep still working.

One of your spuds executed me, a medic, after I had surrendered! Another Warden excuse for a human shot me while I was carrying an injured Warden to safety so I could save their life. Both me and the injured Warden died. Never surrender men, these barbarians know no mercy. For the legion, never stop.

I think if the decrease the reverse speed and make them faster forward it would result in a lot less back and forward poking( that is what I find strange) But I am not a foxhole players, that is why I asked

@@MijnAfspeellijst1234 I think the devs are worried that if they increase tank forward acceleration that it would make them too good at avoiding ordinance. Even with the current acceleration it's very hard to hit a tank with a sticky grenade if they see you coming. If you buff sticky grenades in response, you'd also have to nerf them in another way so they couldn't be used against infantry effectively because they're so cheap to produce.

Definitely. The constant loss of valuable ground is stupid in a tank battle. Nerf reverse speed considerably. Infantry needs to do their job and protect tanks from enemy infantry. If you have ground, hold or push, never retreat.

Out of curiosity, i don't play but am considering, could your original plan with the tank push utilized any scouts or scout vechiles to check the route ahead as you advance. I'm thinking in order to have avoided the loses at the salvage yard.

Honestly [CL] Lucifer was a great commander for this operation, describing both the objective and even during about how they did well and how others could improve, and overall seems like just a great guy. Watching this series has made me want to play Foxhole as this game reminds me of Squad but much, much bigger.

Chunky should probably stay infantry in the future. That was hard to watch.

Just something I notice, but people struggle a lot with pronunciations of some location names. Tuatha is pronounced properly as either TOO-aha or (rarely) TOOwitAH. Macha as in Macha's Keening is MaKA. And the Sidhe in Sidhe Falls would be analogous in Irish Gaelic to the Scottish Sith (or vice versa, forget which), which here would be said She. I hear so many different flubs of these and others. Gaelic words are strange to non-native speakers, even some of us who study the languages.

It really depends on who you get stuck with on the front lines. Some people get a superiority complex while playing, while others are super helpful. I have had more good experiences then bad while playing this game. Sometimes the only thing that can suck is when you’re on the front line and no one is communicating, that’s probably the worst thing I have had.
