The only thing they lack is TRUE Bass....Front stage and rear fill are satisfactory....but i need REAL bass
I got the Skar 5.25 in doors, Skar 6x8 in rear, Skar 3.5 tweeters in dash. All running on a Skar 80.4 in my 90 mustang gt.
I wanna say you save my life!!! i have a foxbody that had bad rust in the spare tire tub and i could not find a tub pan nor a parts fox to save me But then i seen this and BAM i found a 2004 parts car!! BIG THNAKS TO YOU
Like that set up
Pink Floyd FTW!
I like the sub box, cool idea
That’s cool! I built a fiberglass box when I had my 87’ RX7. Built it inside the storage cubby behind the drivers seat, aimed the 15” sub at the passenger and called it a day. Gotta say though, it cured me of ever working with fiberglass again, lol
Awesome video will be doing a lot of ordering before the holidays will be using the link
I am glad to see you got your sub hooked up! I will get with you and show you the ground loop, noise eliminator I used. It got rid of my awful alternator whine.

sure it was said by now . you could be picking it up through your RCA's. either crossing or running beside a power wire. Or even cheap brand could also be the cause
I worked at a stereo shop for 3 years and a ground loop isolator fixed every vehicle I ever had engine noise in except one. It was a 70’ Chevy show truck and I tried everything and ended up having to buy some shielded wire loom from some dealer. It was grounded on both ends and had all the power wire for the amps ran in it on one side of the truck and I ran another one on the other side with the input cables in it. I finally got it stopped.

BREW I love your channel brother good tips and info I have a ole school 94 Mercury Cougar 4.6 the car got over 400k miles and still quiet as a mouse
Its the power wire is to close to the rca wires, power should run down one side of the car and the rca's down the opposite side. Hope that helps out.
I meant to comment last night regarding the engine noise. Looks like 209pancho209 beat me to it. Yes, it is the Boss amp. I know this is a budget channel, but I used a boss for my tweeters and dash and door speakers and got the same engine whine or noise. Sent it back to Amazon and got a Sony Xploid amp. Still a nice build and sounds nice. Thanks for sharing.

Make sure all your grounds are as short as possible and make sure your rca cables dont run near any power cables as in throw your rca through one side so you dont get any interferance from the power cable

Great custom sub box. I still have an old school JL Audio Stealth Box for the Fox Body spare tire well, holds a 10” sub down firing and has a clear plexiglass top so you can mount your amp inside and have a visual of the sub and amp through the plexi. Loved that thing until the sub blew, I just need to find a good sub that will fit. I’ve been holding on to it for many years in hopes of finding the right Fox to build.

It still amazes me on how similar these car really are. 👍
Very common problem and super easy fix! First change the ground location, to many things are grounded close. If that don't work just install a ground loop isolator or inline noise suppressor.

@@BREW2LFOXBODY 90% of the time when upgrading cleaning the spot is not enough. There is just to much ground trying to be supported by that spot, moving to it's own spot will usually fix it. If not we just put the suppressor in. That always works.

On the Amp(s), did you screw it into the rear seat?
A ground loop isolator in line before each of the amp should solve that problem. Great videos keep up the good work brings be back to my high school days. Spend all our money on mods for the rides and on Friday with $10 in our pockets and a full tank of gas we were kings on the street drag strip.

Did I see your front door panels correct did you do a bag delete? If so how did you do it? Looks great
Had that same problem in my car only with certain radio's. Try grounding the outter part of your rca connection to the bck of radio

By running the rcas down the same side as the main power wire that is why your getting feedback into your system.
What's up Brew, Great video as always!!!! I dont know what your talking about when u said no tricks in this videos,I saw a few,lol... Nice set up with the speaker. Also, can u go in to details when u change the handle, iam doing mine pretty soon. Iam glade I watched this video because my next stop is Amazon, got to buy some things and using your link!!
Put a naked wire around your Jack's behind your radio wrap it around each other
Get some ground loop isolators that helps...much love from Compton CA.
You just need to install an ignition suppressor!!....its not expensive and it's really easy to install!...I had same problem with my aftermarket radio in my gmc sierra truck...
@BREW2LFOXBODY
5 жыл бұрын
I agree, I think that’s going to fix the problem 💯😎
Change your rcas and make sure you don't have them next to your power wire that's your engine noise on your radio
For the engine you can ground the RCA'S put a wire from a radio bolt then wrap the wire around the rca preout and that should take care of that issue there are videos on it and how to do it.
Where are you running your power wire through your firewall??? I can’t find a spot anywhere to get mine through
In my experience cheaper door speakers always have that noise. Maby try out the better ones u want
Ground the rca cable thats simple! Ground to the raido case!

What kind of door handles did you purchase? I bought some aftermarket ones, installed the drivers side one. It fit badly, big gap between the body and top of handle. Also, the spring came loose, allowing it to flop around, thus damaging the paint! OEM is SO expensive. But may go that route.

Stock believe it or not. No issues 👍
Bad RCA wires, could also be signs of a failing alternator.
Hey do you think 12" sub would fit and be fine like yours
Either u need to pull ur amp Jacks out n put speaker wire around ur amp Jacks n ground it out then plug ur amp Jacks back in to get rid of the engine noise or ur engine is so strong that it vibrates ur speakers like a speaker with a speaker radiator wen 1 speaker bumps it causes the other speaker to vibrate at which time ur screwed n there ain't nothin u can do about it cause its jus gonna vibrate or u try n rubberize the speakers in their encloser better so the rubber stops the speaker radiator effect from vibrating thru ur speaker. Hope that info helps u in the future lol 1luv 💪

Try moving the ground as close as you can to the amp.

do not get a ground loop isolator, theyre just bandaids. You have an rca near a power wire. My power wire is longer than needs be and when i put the subs back in after a scca event, the power wire was laying on the rca and caused whine. Make sure you run your rcas on the opposite side of the car you run your power on as a cardinal rule and then just look for intersecting points where the sheathing of the rcas and power wire even get close as electrical fields are bastards sometimes
Engine noise is from RCA being on same side as Power wire or ground when ran thru the car. Your welcome 😃 Audiophile here and installer . Keep P/G Wires on drivers side run RCA's down other side bk to the radio . or under the back seat under the carpet under the console to the radio ect

What's your opinion on keeping a foxbody original vs. Modding them? Does market value matter to you with the fox or do you prefer making it your own?
@BREW2LFOXBODY

Depends on the car really, if it’s already modded I say do whatever you want as far as mods go.. but a super stock, low mileage fox I probably wouldn’t change much other than wheels and maybe lower it, keeping all the stock parts of course.
your from dothan ? i noticed the 38 tag 😃

Dont run your rca cables along side your power wires for your amp. Power wires on driver side, rca’s on passenger side. You wont pic up alternator wine.
The engine noise is from the boss amp from highs. Power wire for boss amp cant be close to the rca wires or speaker wires need to be ran in the opposite side to avoid the noise. I also have system in my foxbody. 2 10s skar audio aswell with skar amp and pioneer speakers for highs with a alpine amp for highs and no engine noise. But just check your wiring probably something simple or it can be the boss amp 👎. Other then that i do like your setup who would think you have a system.
