FOX Adaptive Athlete, Monster Mike Schultz #5 - Micro-Documentary

Спорт

Monster Mike Schultz shares his inspiring story about living life to its fullest after losing his left leg above the knee. Mike's always been one to tinker, so designing and building his own leg to continue pinning it, came natural.
Mike continues to find ways to try new sports and help others get back in the saddle, too.

Very inspirational. I hope you share this amazing prosthetic leg with other unfortunate people who love to dirt bike and snowboard. I know if i was in those shoes i would want to be able to have that opportunity at a inexpensive price.

I'm in a wheelchair and damn I can't even tell you how much I miss riding, I grew up riding ATV's and would still love to get back into racing but with medical bills I don't have the money unfortunately but as soon as I do the first thing Im doing in buying a new bike. For now WCMX is the only extreme sport I still do, but I also play wheelchair basketball on a travel team which I love but it doesn't get my adrenaline pumping enough.

My son lost his left hand 2 years ago, he is now 18, we are going to try to race this summer at Baja Acres! Wish my son lots of luck please! Also how can he get involved with XGames Adaptive MX and Snowcross? Any suggestions would be a great help! (Fireworks) Is how he lost his hand, he started riding at age 5 and racing bye 5.5, broken bones didn't stop him! Now with this problem he isn't sure how he can be competitive, he wasn't sure if he would ever ride again! Orthotech in makes his pros

Talked with my Dr today about amputation. I would do it right now if I had the cash for a prosthetic like this!
