If you are a government worker you get paid time off on any federal holiday, including the 4th. So it is technically a law that some people do not work on the 4th if it falls on a workday. I think it has to do with safety. People blow their hands and faces off. They can set fires to cars lawns houses etc. . If people did the right and correct things, Mommy and Daddy Government wouldn't have to pull the car over and grab a belt. In the end it's our own fault for not being able to control and police our selves. Wouldn't you get the cops involved if your property was burnt?..

Lots of states are like that. North Dakota has some awesome fireworks. I live in Canada but one 45h of July im gonna come down the US, to North Dakota to buy a bunch of fireworks and set them off.

Right, I used to buy 800 to 900 dollars worth a year, now, I just sit back and watch my friends across the street do it. Still get bottle rockets and roman candles sparklers for the kids. My husband friend across the street though, goes all out. The whole neighborhood sits in their yard, with beer, maybe a little whiskey , and enjoys the show.

Na, it's because this year it was harder to transport fireworks from nearby states where they’re legal. My friend who always drives a U haul with fireworks from Nevada to Cali couldn’t pull it this year because the feds are pressing hard this year 🥴

I’m on the opposite side of the country. In a state where consumer fireworks were illegal until 2016. I hear less about fireworks related accidents since they’ve become legal. While I don’t think it’s okay to take our freedom away. It’s also not okay to let consumer fireworks off on a highway , or within an unsafe area. So , I feel every state state legalize consumer fireworks , but make the fines extremely harsh. If caught doing so in a way that jeopardizes life or property. Make the law where we have the freedom the United States is known for. But , make it really hurt if we don’t value others or their property.

Legal fireworks are such a scam. You see these large canister fireworks at your local TNT but it is just a fountain! I took the top off one of those and there was so much empty space to make it look bigger. You need to go to an actual firework store to get the good stuff.

That’s right!!! Leave it to the professionals is what they say. If you have fireworks that you bought from Pennsylvania, the professionals would buy it, and don’t set them off. You can have your own fireworks show in any events like New Year’s, July 4th and other festivals, professionals will set them off. Macy’s did a great job with the fireworks, and it came back to normal as usual.
