A quick tip for the castings in the future. You can take and run a small wire or even a piece of coat hanger wire theough the highest points in the mould to vent the trapped air faster. This also allows the metal to flow faster into the mould. This lets the metal flow into the crevices while it is still hotter. You're going to be the go to guy for Gingery castings before long.

I did poke vent holes in the sand (hence my commenting), but I forgot to add those clips in while editing the vid 😊
