Four Tet is a master. I saw Four Tet at the Wickerman festival in Scotland 10, 11, 12??? years ago I was the only one in the tent, albeit a small tent but still, why was no one else there? I wish I just went up and had a chat and said hi and gave him a beer etc etc etc Anyway, I first heard of Four Tet from the Paul Welsh show on Radio Clyde late 1990’s and he’s stuck with me ever since. Awesome

Just discovering this in Chile, cheers from South America!

This album dropped Christmas of 2020 and I'll never forget it. I've played it every Christmas since.

39:19 Parallel 6 is so underrated, I love this song.

Parallel 2 is one of Four Tet's best I've ever heard. A song you can dance to, trip out to, exercise to, work to, relax to, or think deeply. it fits any mood because it's music rooted in something more existential than can be explained.

Rounds is my favourite album of all time (also rip MF Doom)

Parallels 1 reminds me of old school Autechre, which is great. Has an Incunabula and Amber feel.

Where have I been? What a great artist and he has been around for so long! You have to watch his gig in Sydney opera house from a few years ago, amazing!!

Superb. Always top-shelf stuff.

Thoroughly enjoyed this album. Listened to it in its entirety yesterday (with a slight break after Parallel 1) - reminded me of like, playing the Myst games for some reason? Also made me wanna get back into Outer Wilds which I took a break from, definitely gave me that kind of atmosphere in mind.

So surprised by every dropping note!

Parallel 4 is throwing me back to thrills I had back in 2003... geez

For modular synths, there is a "Krell" patch that can make generative music when you route it properly. There are a ton of examples on here, similar sounds to this.
