If you're inclined towards exploration, I would suggest spending one night at each location. If relaxation is your priority, a two-night stay at a single hotel might be preferable. Now, selecting the perfect hotel presents its own set of difficulties. Let me provide you with insights into both options. Mandapa, being newer than Sayan, boasts state-of-the-art technology in its rooms, ensuring maximum comfort with a modern design aesthetic. Mandapa has a superior breakfast offerings and the pool area is better. However, it's worth noting that Mandapa's scale is relatively smaller compared to FS Sayan. On the other hand, FS Sayan offers a larger expanse to explore, with meticulously landscaped grounds that exude natural beauty. While the villas may show signs of age, they impress with their spaciousness and grandeur. Ultimately, the choice between Mandapa and FS Sayan depends on your preferences for a compact resort with modern amenities versus expansive natural surroundings. In terms of personal impressions, I find FS to be more visually striking, while Mandala exudes a greater sense of beauty. Regardless of which option you choose, you can't make a wrong decision. Just went to Bali three months ago, my sixth trip there in 30 years. Bali is now simply over build. There are less padi fields compared to twenty years ago. Traffic in many areas is simply chaotic. They have destroyed Bali. It is no longer the Bali I discovered 20-30 years ago.

Just last week, tourists had to go through 3 hours of traffic jam to reach the Denpasar airport and many more hours of queue to clear the customs. Many of them missed their flight. Bali is simply over crowded. How can one have a great holiday on a over crowded island?

True, I was thinking that when I read the comment about how important rice is for the Balinese- now many farmers sell their land, are 'rich' until they spend the money and then end up without an income or a job- and nothing to leave their children (rice fields went from father to son for generations). Soon there won't be any rice field views anymore.
