I love hearing your updates! i relate a lot to your descriptions of gender and dysphoria and the way you communicate the idea of trans-androgyny. i'm afab and identify with androgynous to somewhat masculine gender (the more presentation/identity/character/feeling part) while not really feeling like a 'man' although i'm on a journey to make my body more physically male (or at least less dysphorically female). i'm coming up to 1 year on t and feeling so much better for it. i look foward to the relief i know i'll have when i get top surgery - it made me smile hearing you talk about the new comfort and confidence you have around swimming. i love swimming, god i can't wait for that! despite coming at things from opposite starting positions, i really find you one of the most relatable people i've seen talk about transition and androgyny and i guess i just like your vibe in general. Great to see that things seem to be going well for you (at least gender wise - fuck landlords). Thanks for making these, it's inspiring and kinda vindicating to see someone being so themself in their androgyny in such a chill way. Much love ❤

That makes me so happy to hear!! And congrats on almost hitting your 1 year mark!! That’s such a huge milestone! Good luck with top surgery!! Do you have a date for it yet? Or it’s just something that you know you want? I hope you can enjoy swimming the same way I do, it’s so freeing. Honestly that’s so cool to hear someone AFAB relate to my experience. Thank you so much for everything you’ve said, it seriously means so much to me. Much love 💛💛💛

@@brynavery I don't have a date yet. I'm in Australia which has great free health care for all essential stuff (except dental and mental, but that's another story)(but I'm super grateful for what we do have). But trans surgeries are considered cosmetic, so it's in the private system, which means it's gonna be 5-10k out of pocket (and I don't want to skimp on price for quality, I mean this is my only body forever) so it's gonna be a bit of a journey to affording that.. my goal was to get it by the time 25 but I'm a few months into 24 and it's...😬we'll see... Thanks for the reply 🤙💕

@@lousyfuckingratboy4219 Aw I hope you’re able to save up the money you need. It’s frustrating when people see trans surgeries as cosmetic. I understand why people who are uneducated may think that, but it’s still frustrating. I’m not sure how healthcare works in Australia but you may be able to reach out to insurance anyways and have a therapist and/or psychiatrist explain why it’s necessary or how it would help. I know while I’ve been going through this mold stuff, most insurances don’t “officially” cover mold related health issues but I guess some people have luck reaching out with recommendations from doctors explaining why it’s necessary. But I could be totally wrong since I don’t know much about Australia’s health coverage. Just an idea, in case it’s helpful! Regardless I hope things go well for you and you can get the surgery you need 💛

So glad to hear how well you're doing and feeling, lovin the good news. Happy belated birthday as well!! 🎉🎶 Yay! But also, side note, the bug sounds in the background are from Cicadas. They're one of my favorite insects. They start out as these thick little armored things with claws. But then they go through a butterfly type of metamorphosis. But instead of making a cocoon, they split through the top of their own exoskeleton and hatch out of the shell of their old former self. It's so cool! You should totally look them up one day if you get bored, they're such a trip.

Thank you!! 💛 ohhhh, now that you mention that (about the sound being Cicadas) I think I “knew” that but just forgot 😅🤣 I didn’t know the whole metamorphosis part though!! That’s really interesting! If I remember correctly, cicadas only come out every 7 years or something? Or maybe that’s a myth (or maybe a different insect altogether lol). I’ll have to look up more info, but thank you for the knowledge!! 💛😊

@@brynavery Assuming you live in Delaware, (or Maryland I guess) when the mother of all hell breaks loose with cicadas is on a 17 year cycle! All of Delaware and the majority of Maryland have brood X. Though there are cicada species around here that come up yearly, just not in the same horrifying quantities. Just so you know they will fly full force into your face and no, it is not pleasant. I speak from experience.

I always love getting notified about your videos. Watching and hearing about your progress is so fulfilling for me. I know I have said this before but you were one of the major contributing factors in helping me decide to transition. Hearing about your body issues with regards to bathroom usage and swimming definitely ring true to home for me as well. It's one of the main reasons I have seriously considered SRS. I'm really happy to see you doing so well both mentally and physically. Your progress gives me hope and inspiration. Also thank you so much for posting those candids on reddit. It has alleviated some fear that I have about the whole operation. Hope you continue to do well and enjoy life to the fullest. I look forward as always to your next video. Much love. 💚

First. You seem to be doing amazingly. So well done on all that. Second. Housing/landlord... Ugh!! And thirdly....thank you soooo much. I've been following along but this one. This one blew my mind. I am reeling right now. Reevaluating a bunch. Please do a further video on this. The dysphoria walls being broken and then connecting far more deeply with the feminine which now allows to express the masculine. I seriously just figured I would have to just sort of life with this idea that i will never be able to quite reach my femine and so force myself to stay away from anything masculine...im litterly reeling right now and can't find my words. Basically there's a light at the end of the tunnel right? Thank you so much for being these. And for being as open and honest as KZread will let you. I find it incrediblely educational. Also. I am stuck between bathrooms so I just wait until i get home. How did you figure which side to use? And has that changed now as well?

This comment makes me so happy. I even screenshotted your comment so I don’t forget to make an updated video about my gender connection & expression. Bottom surgery really has allowed me to be my most authentic self for sure. Of course everyone’s different, but for me it’s helped me feel so free, more than I could imagine. And I’m really glad my openness about my experience has been able to positively benefit you 💛 In regards to the bathrooms, I started using the womens bathroom when I came out as a trans woman (back in 2014). I have no idea how I had the confidence to do that considering I wasn’t even on HRT lol but I just had the mentality of “I don’t give a fuck” lol. Plus the thought of going into the mens restroom “dressed like a woman” made me feel unsafe. But I normally tried to wait until I got home. But once HRT changed how I looked I felt more comfortable, and now I don’t feel any Dysphoria going into the womens restroom. If there’s a gender neutral or family bathroom I’ll use that.
