Wow. Never done Auto CAD or anything similar and this is my first time watching how it works; watched it start to end without skipping, very interesting, thank you.
your tutorials are SO much better than the ones included with the program! thank you for posting these - I am learning much faster now.

Very well made, thank you! I'm applying for a new job after years spent using Solid Edge and this was exactly what I was looking for.
Just started solidworks about one week , now I create crankshaft & pistons, thanks man👑🔥

A kind request to @cadcamtutorials can you please upload all the 2-D sheets on any platform which which we students can refer cause it will be a good practice for us to have a thinking grip on that drawing before starting your video. Please consider my suggestion. Thanks Sir !
Sir you make things so easy for beginners..may Allah bless you more success in your life ❤️

You're the best. Sure wish I was as smart as you. Thanks for all your work.
daam,, I wanna learn solid works or other CAD soft,, looks so easy and very precise to produce technical hard-surface models (I know it is not easy but looks like)

Lot of people use SW for simple products but you'd never use it for something complex like an engine.

@@johnwade1095 what kind of apps do they use to design complex like engine? ..i thought SW is pretty advance app being used for all kind of engineering work.
@johnwade1095
2 жыл бұрын
@@ronron7763 Creo, Catia, or NX. SW actually say they don't do planes, trains, or automobiles. SW isn't a capable enough surfacer for complex castings, and the assembly constraints become unstable with very large models. It's more common for students to learn CAD basics and for small device design, as its integrated simulation and animation packages make it very good value. Most engine work is Creo - Toyota, BMW, Fiat, Caterpillar all use it. Honda and Ford use Catia.

Just wondering. For the piston, why not do the cross section and then revolve it around the y axis. that way you don't have to do the cake layer style of making a model
@Toolazytothinkofagoodhandle

I watched the vid and then used the drawings to create the model, I found it was a lot easier doing just that
Thanks a lot!
¡Great video! ¡Thank u very much!
thanks for the explanation sir
Upload surface modeling video and gear box design as well
A really nice and understandable video
Very helpful for beginners
Very good work.
Thanks for posting. I enjoy the tutorials very much. One thing I am curious about. You have all the dimensions. But if I only have the components. Ie the valves, pistons, crank etc etc. and want to put them together and design a casing around them. In other words arrange them in free space How would I start. I saw someone use a lot of different axis through a centre point, and arrange valves pistons, crank through these axes, however i couldn’t then move parts as I wanted to. Would you be able to do some tutorial along these concepts. As like myself I’m sure a lot of people want to develop their own designs or modify existing designs.

Hello there, thank you for your informative tutorial. I was wondering though if you could walk me through 6:09, where it gives me an error 'Sketch cannot be inserted using the currently selected edge' , when I try the same sequence of commands as shown in the video.
