We're usually impressed by Julia, but can we take a moment to see how Nathan can draw any animal just like that, no construction lines, no nothing? He just goes and BOOM, mouse, horse, dinosaur, penguin.... that's very impressive.

I can imagine ratt overhearing someone call cheese weird, then proceeding to make an exchange with said someone where they end up $1,200,000 in debt with the national government while cheese protests bc it’s “morally wrong”, but then doesn’t actually do anything to stop ratt.

Fun fact: A baby mouse is quite literally called a pinkie. So EVERYONE has mouse names 🐭🐭

Nathan's character meets Julia's and they travel together out of convenience before the fairy guard catch on and up the chase. While on the run, they meet Jacob's character, who guides them to Karina's character for disguises. The whole motley crew continue their adventure and have many wacky hijinks

Jacob and Karina's characters are girlfriends

karina's sheer, unadulterated joy when jacob drops the "oh, and i gave her a tail"

I’m convinced that whenever the 3rd character (Cheese) creates an outfit commission or something and has leftover fabric, she adds it to her own outfit

This is how I imagine it: Mickey is moving to a new town and gets lost, so she pulls over to stretch and let pup go potty and hears a noise… a ragged looking tiny person comes flying up to her and offers to read the map for her if she gives her a ride. Mickey agrees since she’s just tired and wants to get to town. Mickey and Pinky become friends along the ride and Pinky complains about her ripped up clothes, so Mickey says she will help her find some clothes when they get to town. When they arrive they have no luck finding tiny clothes, and that’s when someone notices how desperate and lost they are and approaches… Rat offers to introduce them to a tailor in town who loves a crazy challenge! She will help… for a price. She says they can negotiate the price later, and the naive and trusting Pinky and Mickey agree and she takes them to Cheese. Cheese helps make a new set of clothes for Pinky as well as Mickey, and tells them they shouldn’t have trusted Rat.. Rat asks for the Pup as payment but Cheese berates her into giving up.. Mickey ends up renting the apartment above Cheeses shop, and Rat does her dealings in the alley out back. Mickey invites Pinky to stay, and the four slowly become good friends and eventually start a band. VERDANT PINK becomes a huge local hit and they keep their success small and manageable, and use the money to travel all over! Running from people angry at Rat for scamming them, Pinky’s royal guard, and some mysterious people from Mickeys past… they just keep moving and jamming!

I totally hope they'll make an episode of that soon. I'm thinking, how they imagine each creatures skeleton to look like. Omg, imagine if one of them went with the idea of a horse made out of wrist bones, like in that one other video. Animals without their bones, I think. With the deflated giraffe. I think that's in Drawfee Extra.

karina's joy when nathan draws the mouse and she goes "mouse, mouse, mouse!" is so pure

It's a small detail, but I love that the mouse on Cheese's left foot has green eyes and the one on her right foot as red eyes, and then the one on her head has one green eye and one red eye. Big fan of that.

I love this idea!

What I learned from Drawfee today: Diminutive = mouse. Also, it's really great seeing these speed draws and watching them all do art in their own methods/styles. A very different atmosphere from the regular Drawfee episodes. It's just a fun time with them all recognizing and celebrating each other's talents. One day I wish I could just crank out perfectly accurate animals like Nathan, or the immediately characterized expressions and linework Jacob does, that effortless gesture work and style choices Karina makes, and just Julia's never ending ability to make anything look amazing. Now I'm thinking of an episode challenge where they all are working on the same drawing but each of them contributes what they believe to be their strongest talents. 100% sold on this idea.

If you haven't seen it yet, check out A Court of Fey & Flowers on Dimension 20! Idk if Rue is actually AMAB, but they're played by an AMAB player, so maybe?! They have the best outfits, anyway. And there's also Andhera in the same show who uses he/they, though it's not explicit whether they are an enby or just use they/them pronouns when they wanna.

My favorite part about Drawfee is how positive the artists all stay with each other. They all trade compliments and just enjoy each other’s company so much. Chill vibes make my day better.

For Karina's character, I like to think she is a traveling seamstress and she wears her shop. Whenever she needs to mend a dress or make something from scratch, she pulls most the material off of herself until she's at the last layer, then she calls it a day.

I actually had the idea that she was a walking advertisment for her shop. Her whole outfit is made up of available fabric samples, and when she gets a new unique fabric, she finds a way to incorporate it into her outfit.

Julia had the one brain cell which is why she did something so different. Jacob, Nathan, and Julia couldn't have it so they full-on hive minded and had a central theme.

@@benjaminsurname5584 actually, fun fact, you CAN have more or less chromosomes than expected, which can lead to a variety of horrible syndromes which are very hard to deal with, I’m so glad science is here to help us learn about those though, and with a bit of work I’m sure America’s healthcare system will eventually be capable of catching up with the rest of the modern world and give solutions to people with problems they were born with through no fault of their own and just by merit of their situation. If Biden is the one to give y’all the progressive healthcare you deserve than yes, I agree with you completely! Go Biden Go!

Nathan's character made me immediately feel like I was a kid staring at an illustration and becoming obsessed with the character. Love it!

Ratt looks like someone you'd meet in Wind Waker who tricks you into sabotaging her rival back alley dealer's business. And then steals your sword and tries to sell it back to you.

Ratt has the full triforce map, but she sells it ar 1 million rupees. You don't have that kind of money, of course, so she asks to kill Tingle, her biggest rival. But it's too much, so you settle by popping his balloons. And the map ends up being for trinkets you sell to her, at a very, very cheap price.

Julia's drawing is the kind of art where you can just hear the Wii music in the back of your head, and I mean that in the best way possible.

Watching Jakobs drawing makes me want to see a Drawclass on how all the layer blending modes work.

Cheese and Ratt are dating and Cheese shows up and totally ruins Ratt's street cred by kissing her on the cheek and calling her by her actual name "Babeeeee I'm trying to make a deal here!"

Ratt is like in the middle of some convoluted mind game with some high profile mafia bigshot or something then cheese pops in like “babe your mum just called and invited us over for the holidays, you want me to make the fruit cake you like? Oh sorry you busy with work??? That’s ok hon just don’t take too long I need you to go buy stuff for dinner later” Then Ratt is like “And obviously you didn’t see any of that” and shoots the guy in the face then goes to the markerplace to buy stuff for dinner

I just adore Nathan’s art style so much. I hope he one day writes a picture book with illustrations like this one. The fairy princess has so much character in her design and that mouse is just gorgeous. I’d really love to own a glossy picture book of Nathan illustrations, whether it be dinosaur lies or adventures of a runaway fairy princess or anything else

Mickey, Pinky, Ratt, and Cheese what an excellent group

Watching these just juices up my confidence in my own creativity. Just telling myself, Drawfee just takes a prompt and runs with it, I can too!

Mickey is looking at a map trying to figure out where to go, but her dog (who I shall name Duey) suddenly dashes off. She follows after them and finds them barking at a patch of grass. That’s when little fairy Pinky and field mouse Huey appear. Pinky uses her magic to become friends with Duey. She tells Mickey that she’s ran away and needs help starting a new life. Mickey agrees to help out and they go travel to this “Rat” Huey keeps talking about. Turns out Ratt wasn’t a rodent, but instead a shady dealer. Ratt agreed to make a deal with the group, but only if they do her a favor. The group asked it was, but she said that she wouldn’t tell them until they got the proper outfits. “But don’t worry, I got just the right person to help you”, Ratt said. The person turned out to be an eccentric seamstress named Cheese, who also turned out to be Ratt’s girlfriend. So the group went to Cheese’s shop and brought new outfits. When they went back to Ratt and asked her what their task was. Ratt said, “Yeah I got nothing for you. Just wanted to help out my girlfriend’s business.” Another poor soul tricked by Ratt. Tune in next time for the next episode of *The Mouse Trap*

Spin off or mini series: *Rat a Tat*

I love how Julia keeps doing drawings that aren’t her style but they’re all so distinctly her drawings. It’s so impressive

Headcannon on how they met: Ratt and Cheese are childhood freinds who meet up when cheese needed something illicit- ratt tried to pawn pinky and hughey to cheese, but they ended up forming a friendship, and cheese and ratt started dating. How did pinky get to the city? mickey took pinky along with, but lost her to ratt, resulting in her meeting the trio. And they start a band.

These are legit some of the best character designs I've seen on Drawfee. I especially love Karina's Cheese. I think it's my favorite character by her so far honestly, so good!

Julia’s first contribution to this episode after “I’m Julia” is a Yogi Bear impression and that just feels right.

hey drawfee! here's an idea: draw vocaloids/UTAUs solely based on their voices! maybe have like a small sample of one of their popular songs for each other to listen to and have each other draw what they think the assigned character design looks like!

Here's an idea for an episode: Google Translate Character Design Take a random character's physical description and run it through Google Translate several times. The artists then have to make a character based on the new description. The characters can be from anything; books, anime, cartoons, movies, etc. For added fun, specify which show the character is from and draw the character in that style for an OC challenge.

my favorite thing about every drawfee video is Jacobs sheathing rage at being interrupted, him trying everything to get through the intro before realizing there's nothing he can really do. 10/10 content

I can totally see Rat bursting into Cheese’s home/workshop asking for help with a commission she has accepted from a client just to see her in a total mess.

I would LOVE to see a children's book challenge where you randomly choose an iconic children's book illustrator: Beatrix Potter, Quentin Blake (Matilda, Charlie and the Chocolate Factory etc) Doctor Seuss, or Eric Carle-and do a speed draw in their style. I feel like Nathan would especially love it because he's incredibly skilled at emulating styles and just gets children's literature so well.

Nathan knocks every single character design challenge out of the park, it’s insane

I know there's no reason at all at this point to flesh out the characters, but Karina's character could be colourblind, which would explain the garishness a little more.

I love how everyone’s style is so different, I think it would be fun to see them draw each other’s characters in their style or just a different interpretation? Just like random choosing Whos Gonna draw who,,

You guys talked about re-rendering old art, but what about rendering each other's old sketches/ beans drawings for an episode? Like Nathan renders Julia's childhood fear drawing or Karina renders Jacob's mer-may swordfish boy etc.

I think it was more the 'diminutive' word, as that specifically means really fucking small.

Rewatching this and loving it all over again. Nathan's adorable mouse, Jacob's Super Clean Inks, Karina's chaos energy, and how Julia throws in an extra challenge for herself but still misses the... wait, she gets the brief on this one. She just misses the braincell until they all agree to name her character Mickey. Anyway, I love this. So much.

Okay, Nathan's drawing just makes me feel a certain type of way :) For a while now I've had trouble telling the difference between someone being absolutely exhausted and someone making bedroom eyes at me. Here's my issue: I have short green hair, I'm sleep deprived and pretty much always exhausted, I already dress like a nature spirit and I also think that I'm hot as fuck so.... Nathan drew me. Thanks Nathan! :)

Drawfee has all of these really cool characters that we only ever see once. Y’all should do a speed draw with of old characters redesigned or in new scenes. (AKA give us more Rowan)

I know it's just a thing that's established but to this day I'm still impressed at how casually Nathan just busts out hyper realistic animals

Neopets bone game: Basically that one furry episode (no this doesn’t narrow it down but I’m not looking it up). One person draws the skeleton of a neopet from a silhouette, then next person draws the neopet based only on that skeleton, then keep swapping that until done. Lmao

I have to say, I love Cheese, she just has a look to her that is so distinct and cute and just really memorable, and also she brings me back to like magical seamstress characters

How to do the Neopets Bone Game: randomly select Neopet, have each person draw the bones in secret, swap, artist has to draw the pet around the mystery bones!

It could be like that fursona telephone game they did like they start with a neo pet someone has to draw the skeleton of and then someone else puts flesh on it and then someone else draws the skeleton of that new creature and so on.

Ahhhh, Cheese gives me lolita vibes😩 if it weren’t for the colors. She also looks like she wanted to find a way to give people samples of her fabric, but ended up accidentally making an outfit and went like “this is the best thing, I will wear it forever”

When Nathan was listing off all of Julia's tiny characters the only one that came to my one braincell was Todd (from Mario)

Episode idea: how bout y’all draw a battle scene? Could be two characters dueling, mystical creatures fighting, a quick animation, or if you’re Julia…a full scale battle scene with 100s of individually drawn warriors with a fully rendered background created in blender.

I love these. Even when they share a brain cell and all think 'mouse' the interpretations are so different, it's terrific.

I am so obsessed with Cheese. Chaotic seamstress who makes her own outfits using leftover materials from previous projects is such a vibe.

These are all so goooooood! I would love to see Nathan re-render his with a watercolour-esque style a la Beatrix Potter and other older children's books! On a personal note, my spouse was watching this over my shoulder and when Karina was describing her character, he said "Oh, that's you," and I laughed, because he's right. I've got fabric everywhere it can possibly be, an unusual, me-made wardrobe, chronic illness and pain that causes fatigue, and the bruises to prove the clumsiness!

What if Mickey’s name was actually Nickey, but whenever she introduces herself, people mishear it as Mickey, and ends up being called Mickey by literally everyone.

33:54 don’t worry, I got the absolutely random “O’ captain, My captain” reference. For those who don’t know, it’s a poem about a crew member on a ship finding the captain dead after a long voyage, but it’s actually a metaphor about Abraham Lincoln’s death ( the captain is Abraham, the ship is America, the voyage is the war, the celebration of the voyage is the celebration of the war being over but the crew member, the writer of the poem, is upset and doesn’t want to celebrate because Abraham is dead and many soldiers who fought in the war have died as well )

Drawfee asked "If Drawfee is dated, which Drawfee episode would you date?" and I immediately thought of this episode. So many cute people with vivid personalities.

Another idea for the Neopets Bone Game: someone draws the bones they think would fit the neopet and the next person makes something with the first person’s bones. And the cycle would continue. Like in telephone!

I kind of want an episode where they make scenes set in the Drawfee Extended Universe. Pinky's band playing for a Room Full of Vampires. Tiny Cowboy and Buzz at the family reunion. Bogley's reaction to naked sonic. Burgoo King joining the fighting foodons.

I glanced down for literally five seconds and looked back up to Nathan whipping out a WHOLE ASS FINISHED MOUSE???

I love these episodes. It's very interesting to see how differently each of their brains interpret the same prompt and then you see it fully fleshed out in their own unique style! It's great. Please make this a regular thing!

I'd love to see a speed draw where they just flex their art ability to the highest tier, like really "Julia! Is this BLENDR" type stuff, just aggressively powerful art. Maybe something like drawing fanart of your favourite films, but like wayyyyyyyy to high tier to be witnessed by our mere mortals

I feel like if they did this, it should be split into 4 separate episodes so they can take a break after drawing and recording at 110%

I have never started drawing fanart so fast. I saw the start of Nathan’s character and picked up my iPad immediately. Nathan. I love her. So much. I’ve never been this inspired to draw fanart for one of y’all’s drawings. I’m already on the inking stage. I will finish her tonight and then start on one for Jacob’s character. I’m so in love with this episode.

Imagine a DnD party composed of these characters: Pinky the druid, Ratt the rogue, Cheese would use a fabric based sorcery and Mickey would be a ranger with her dog companion.

I love how supporting and reassuring you guys are, even when one of you is struggling. Julia was not feeling it at all, but you guys talked her up and made her feel good and confident about a drawing she felt was just thrown together without any thoughts. It looked good, but she sounded very bummed and unsure about what she did until you all hyped her up. I love it

Idea: Four artists one description again, but the description is 100% personality, hobbies, traits, etc, 0% physical descriptions, so we'll see entirely different interpretations

Just starting but...Nathan's work has straight up leveled up lately, his faces in particular are looking phenomenal.

Okay, there’s something about Nathan’s coloring that really took me back to… something. I can’t figure out what. Her skin and the mouse’s fur triggered some vague memory.

Definitely not me crying over how cute Julia's drawing is. I'm very sensitive right now.

I am convinced that Nathan, Jacob and Carina shares a braincell because Julia has taken the other three.

These were all amazing! I love these episodes, it's so fun to see how differently you interpret the same prompt, and this time it was very fun to see how the mouse theme just sprung up, too :D it's also very fun to hear you talk about the characters and make up little stories about them as the episode goes; and Julia's character felt like the new in town one, the one that soon will have the mouse-theme when all of them are friends ^^
