The TITAN micropile consists of a ribbed hollow steel bar - which functions as drilling rod, injection tube and reinforcing bar - and a grout body made from a cement suspension. The system interlocks with the surrounding soil and can transfer tension, compression and cyclic loads to the subsoil by way of skin friction. In Germany, TITAN micropiles are covered by a National Technical Approval issued by the German Institute of Building Technology (DIBt) and may be used for applications requiring 100+ years of reliability. The system is suitable for any type of soil. Irrespective of the type of application, the installation method is always the same. Following drilling with rotary percussive equipment and a flushing medium, a cement grout is injected through the hollow steel bar to fill the hole reliably from the bottom up.
