Made me think of my dad. A few yrs before he passed on he told me he wanted his keepsake box buried with him. When the time came,I remembered. I told my mom and brother about it. They had no clue what I was talking about. I knew what the box looked like cause when small I would sometimes watch him get it out and reminisce. After I explained what it looked like they told me where to go look for it. I found it and took it to the funeral home. Funny how they never knew anything about that box but I did. RIP Dad

don't throw away the baseball cards until you look them up and see if they are valuable. Isn't it fun to go through things you forgot you had! It's like Christmas! My first watch had Cinderella on it.

Maybe a shadow box for the important things. Area for your dad and mom, military service, kids, etc. doesnt have to be big, but something to keep them out, so you can aee them.

I was thinking that too. I made one for my Father in law before he passed away. He had all his medals in a drawer. He was so proud to see them displayed, as he should be. He was a Korean war veteran. Thank you for your service. ❤️

The word you were looking for on the jewelry with heads/faces carved on them is 'Cameos'. I think you should have your dad's old Mickey watch. l looked at. Might be a little more valuable than you think , since it's older. I'm pretty sure Chivas Regal is a brand of Scotch. Beautiful box it came in!

I stamped out an aluminum token with my and my steadys names at the Loudonville OH FREE STREET FAIR 1951. Still have it. ❤

They're cameos Vivian. I think the plastic is to protect the cards because their condition greatly determines their value. The butterfly necklace is pretty.

I’d go to a baseball card shop…the ones in plastic keeps the card more original. Even if they are not famous their cards could still be worth something.

I remember seeing a Mickey Mouse watch years ago. Those were cameo earrings. I had a cameo necklace once. You're holding the jewelry too close to the camera. It needs time to focus. You're moving so fast through that precious box, that we aren't getting time to appreciate it's contents. I think you should get a shadow box with a black velvet background and attach all your memorabelia to it. We are grateful for your service protecting our country. I also smile going through old boxes of "stuff". My kids used to pick a rainy day and go through the picture boxes. Problem is, they didn't separate the photos back into their own envelopes, and I never wrote the dates (or names) on the back of the baby pictures. They all looked the same as babies. Ugh! Still haven't figured out who's who!

You may have some very good collectibles worth lots of money. Handle with care and go online and look the stuff up. $$$
