Just some random history about the Amethyst. Greeks wore amethyst rings while drinking alcoholic beverages to ward off intoxication and drank from the purple quartz. Amethyst stones were carved into goblets by the Greeks who believed they would not become intoxicated if they drank wine from amethyst cups. Love the great find!

This somehow reminds me when my great grandpa found a big crystal of some kind in a construction site he worked at but someone stole it, and sold it to the museum, it could’ve made him rich, but at least everyone in the town knew he was the one who found it. That was some place in Mexico
