Hey Ethan, always wanted to drop a comment but each time I am hesitant to do so until today. Seeing you pull that Van Damme large laser disc movie brought back some great memories! My dad was big into getting the lastest and greatest of home entertainment, and he bought in early on those laser discs and the player! Some of the gear is still sitting at my mom's house untouched since my dad pasted nearly 10 years ago. Laser discs of that size obviously never caught on, it stuck around more for the Karaoke crowd which my dad of course partook of! But I remember having that Van Damme movie ( as well as T2 and the Original Star Wars Trilogy), and me and my little bro watching on what was at the time great video quality. Thank you Ethan, so many memories flooded of me and my dad

I know the feeling with being able to recite an entire movies script. Had a bet with a friend about who could watch "Ace Ventura 2: When Nature Calls" more when I was in High School. I worked at a video rental place and used their copies....watched in the hundreds of times. I can still remember it quite well but have not fully watched it since then as I tend to dream the entire movie after viewings now I have it that ingrained in my mind LOL Pretty cool guest and all... I hope no fan ever does that as that would be the one video on your channel that would make me /Cry. Plus I would honestly despise that fan for likely my entire life...... That would be so painful to see that....as you never ever see those factory sealed.....

Ethan's reaction to the re-release of the TMNT sports line was the same as mine. I couldn't believe it when I saw those, the villians, the storage shell line, the pizza tossers, etc. I hope he wins the FTW title and then trades it in for that sealed Technodrome.

I had a BUNCH of those power records/peter pan records. The 46's had a comic to read along. Batman, GI Joe, Star Trek, Superman, Spider-Man, they made so many. They were great as a kid.

Sid did in fact wear blue before. I remember him wearing like N. Carolina Baby Blue in the 1992 Royal Rumble wear he helped eliminate Hulk Hogan but then Hogan helped eliminate Sid and Flair would win the Royal Rumble. Sids also worn Red and other colors. He may have been called Sid Justice at the time.

And as for the books on record I used to have a lot of those when I was a kid they are really really good they're fun to listen to and I wish there was a way to get them digitally now. There were cassettes with books and even cds for a little bit. Lol!! Having younger cousins and kids of my own for the cds have helped me see them. Lol! Don't want you thinking it took me so long to learn to read. Lol! Though now that I am older I feel like I can't read some times!! Lol!! I remember getting that Technodrome for Christmas when I was 10. I used to use Lego pieces as the Turtles to bring it closer to scale when I played with it.

I really have no idea how there is so much vintage stuff still sealed. I never knew a kid, other than maybe one, who didn't open everything. Though I do seem to recall going to a kids house and he had a bunch of sealed action figures and things in his closet, and I was like "why?".

Man I live 10 minutes from there. Wish I had 4k going on a toy hunt with ego is on my bucket list.

Ethan, Power Records put outt tons of comic and record sets as well as some that didn't have comics but multiple stories instead. They put out sets from not just DC and Marvel but some of the lesser known companies as well. They were definitely fun to listen to as a kid. Like the DC and Marvel audio story sets put out by GraphicAudio these days, they were acted with casts like an old-time radio show. Btw, the old-time Batman and Superman radio shows are up on Spotify and some of the Power Records comic sets have been put up on KZread as videos.

I think the most expensive toys I ever owned was the TMNT Sewer Playset, The Jurassic Park Compound, and the Star Wars AT-AT (which I think was about 70-80 bucks back in the day). If only I had the foresight to hold on to them lol.

What makes me sad about the Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles re-issued figures is they won't be exact re-issues of the figures I had as a child as when they came out over here in the UK they had to re-label them as 'Teenage Mutant Hero Turtles' along with the show itself (this was down to some stupid reason that the government of the time insisted upon) Even the episodes were edited to not show some of the weapons such as Mikey's nunchucks (you can see some of the edits in the opening titles of the show too - Including the change in the lyrics to the theme). When the film came out over here - It confused us as we'd only known them as Teenage Mutant Hero Turtles (This was before the days of the internet and Wikipedia)

I had one of those Batman stories on cassette and would listen to it while looking at the book. All I can really remember is that the sound effects were a bit scary as a kid. Big nostalgia trip though seeing the art on that vinyl. Definitely worth a listen if you can.
