I don't know that he is guilty. It could be his girlfriend, it could be him, it could be an ample number of motivated people that were connected back to her father. She may not be dead. There's so much doubt in this case that slinging innuendo seems counter productive for everyone.

What arrogance? He doesn't appear arrogant in any of the videos I've seen. In fact, he rarely ever says anything. The one big interview he gave he stated that he thought she was still alive. If you've seen arrogance then please post a link to it; I'd like to see it.

@@mjdelaney1 not really, the state doesn’t have enough evidence to make a conviction today, the case is actually falling apart completely today. Even though he died the current suspects are released on bond and the judge is demand more evidence from the state or they will more than likely drop the charges

He did use some interesting metaphors. The state said that a warrant was issued and therefore it was tampering. I'd be interested in knowing how that applies and if the state has to prove he had awareness of the warrant. If he did destroy evidence then I would assume that it was done fairly quickly in relation to the alleged murder. If that is correct and they are suggesting that he tampered with it; do they have to prove the tampering was prior to the warrant? If not then do they have to prove that he was aware of the investigation and warrant. I can see why the defense would proclaim that the state isn't wearing any clothes since they really don't appear to have sufficient evidence. They don't appear to have evidence because I believe they haven't disclosed details of their investigation. I don't think the state wants to provide all of the information about the investigation because they don't yet have enough to proceed with a murder charge. That's why this tampering charge is underway while they continue to investigate and search. By having this lesser charge in place the state can maintain a higher level of control over him while they investigate. When the tampering charge is completed, then the state will have to file any additional charges or release him to go about his business. If I were the defense then it seems like a request for an expedited judgment would be wise; by not attempting to expedite then that gives the appearance that they believe he is truly innocent and that there is no worry about the murder investigation. Does anyone else think this tampering charge is a way to control him and keep him in the state or is there any real tampering that can be demonstrated without disclosure of the investigation.

It will be difficult to convict him of tampering based on the assumption that a crime has been committed. There is no body or weapon. There is little solid evidence. If they want to file a charge and try to prove it THEN a second charge of tampering seems viable.
