one of those circumstances where the role and the movie and the actress are all just perfect and firing on all cylinders. she just totally ate up the scenery in such a wonderful way in all of her scenes.

O I think she could've imagined heights of stardom... She's probably sick of Veruca but she played the perfect brat, sweet & cringingly sour & most definitely legend now

6:53 thats quite interesting, I wonder how Mark got to see Willy wonka?? Was the movie being broadcast on TV at that point in late 77 in america, I cant remember what the 'pure imagination book' said, but then that kinda means he would have been one of the few who watched it then because the movie didnt reach phenomenon until early 80's VHS, i think i've got that right?!!

I remember watching it on TV around the 1973-76 time-frame. It was pretty popular at the time, but probably more so after the VHS came out. It would have definitely been well-known already in 1977.

It's a decent interview with her. However, I don't know why you compared 'Charlie's Angels' to the BBC nursing drama. The only thing those programmes have in common is the use of the term 'angels'...

Joseph Taylor thank you! The concept behind me using the comparison between those shows was more than just their usage of the word angels. Both shows had strong leading young women who were working to improve/heal society. With Charlie Angels, it was through law enforcement by fighting crime. With Angels it was literally healing as they worked in the medical field. Both had “higher powers” that they answered to “metaphorically”. With Charlie’s Angels, it was Charlie. In Angels, it was the student nurses who answered to their teachers and other medical staff on the ward. Both shows gave off the messages of girl power and female empowerment. Angels and Charlie’s Angels came out around the same time (about one year apart) and are staples within 1970s culture of their nations. Does that make sense?

I prefer the nurses uniform then, not scrubs. You do hospital corners in motels.
