Tailgate Campers. Benalla Victoria. Standard extra cab slide on $39,000. I would suggest getting electrical and hot water done later. Less stress on everyone. We are really enjoying it so far. Compared to our Travelander slide on that we had before this is very well built. Very quick and easy to set up. We thought the slope of the roof inside would bother us but have soon become used to it. Great side windows. Lovely lying in bed and able to look straight out. Lachie

Looks neat and well made, but $40,000? I understand that they probably don't make many so have to charge quite a bit to recoup their costs, yet that feels far too expensive for what you are getting.

It depends what your camping style is and your age range! If you love bush tracks and don't want to tow something plus something easy to live with and if you rarely stay more than 2 nights in one place Tailgate is hard to beat. But there are always positives and negatives and compromises you have to live with and that will influence which brand you settle on. For me Tailgate ticked the most boxes and the finish is excellent. If you check out others that offer something similar and add in the "extras" that you know you need you might find the pricing not so different -- they might just look a lot cheaper on paper to start with.
