@@cheean5161 The irl reasoning behind most Supras was for it to be touring car (something that has decent performance but was mainly meant for cruising. Something like an Aston Martin, or a Dodge Charger). While of corse sure, it has a crap ton of potential for mods, the same argument of “the reasoning behind x car is tuning” could be used for so many other cars it’s not even funny. We could use it for those super cheap R/T mopars that could make 650HP on stock internals, we could use it for Coyote powered Mustangs that people even daily drive when they’re pushing near 1000HP, we could use it for BMW 335is that can easily push 500HP with just a few mods (albeit unreliably, but still capable). And hell, we can even use it for the supercars, and hypercar you say the Supra can “kill” too. Haven’t you seen those drag ready Lamborghini Hurcans with no rear bumper to fit their turbos doing wheelies at the drag strip and destroying people at Texas 2K? Or the 3300HP Calvo Viper on the KZread channel 1320Videos that went from 60-140MPH in less than 6 seconds? You could use that same argument for pretty much almost any performance car ever made, and it still really won’t matter because almost every other performance car has tuning in mind as well. Even Bugatti’s irl have been tuned before to make more horsepower from stock. My point is modded vs stock doesn’t matter because really, it’s just someone’s hard work + the product of the company that created the car and engine vs the product of another company that made the car and engine but without someone’s hard work put into it. It’s an unfair advantage because the company creating the car and engine have to abide by government regulations on safety, emissions standards, and a whole lot of other regulations, while also making it in a price range fair enough that people would consider buying it. The guy tuning it into some sort of race car either doesn’t care about those laws, or is subject to a different set of laws that don’t require the car he’s purchased to follow the same rules as automakers have to when creating the car, and usually doesn’t care about making something he’s going to sell to increase the power and wealth of his business. At the end of the day, it’s really just an unfair advantage as you see, therefore it dosen’t really matter if a modded car could beat a stock car. If it can, cool, good job to the guy that built it, it only shows how far he’s come instead of how good of a product the manufacturer as put out compared to its competition which is an indicator of what you should buy. (unless you’re arguing about which is the better platform for tuning, but then you’d need a modded version of the other car to start that argument) So stock vs modded really doesn’t matter in the grand scheme of things

Rimac top speed is higher, unless the supra mod it gearbox to reach a higher top speed. It just run out of gear.

They have come a long way, but don't go a long way. Get it lol, the range isn't amazing. Until you can go 1000+ km OR recharge as fast as gassing up, they won't be practical for everyone.

@@udalix oh for sure. The combustion engine will still be relevant and the preferred choice for another hundred years or more. Where I'm actually really excited to see EVs is in motorsports as opposed to road cars because of the interesting things that can be done with them.
