I remember, In 2018, I was so eager to get an Xbox one so I could finally play Forza Horizon 4 with my best friend (of 10 years as of when I am writing this), the first thing I did when I got my Xbox was download FH4, I saw the loading screen, heard this music, booted up the game, played it for a good 2 years almost every day, I was absolutely obsessed with this game, I still remember the first car I got, the first car I bought, the first place I drove, the first time I felt free. 2020 hits, the world is now shutdown, I am stuck in a deep depression wondering if anyone I loved would die, I start to stray further and further from this game, starting other ones like COD ww2, Fortnite, Minecraft etc. I get an Xbox series X when it is released, and my Xbox one gets put in a drawer. I get FH5 and play the game so much, forgetting about FH4. Here we are now in March 2023, I was looking through some storage and I find my dusty Xbox one, I plug it in hoping it works, it takes 5 minutes to power on, the next thing I know I am looking through old games I played on my barely working Xbox one and I see FH4, I open it, it takes another 5 minutes to start the loading screen, and then I see it and hear this song, all of the memories of when I had no worries, I didn’t have to be scared when someone was sick, I didn’t have to wear masks, When my life was good. I am on the verge of tears, I finally load in and see my first car I got in the game, Driving it, I turn on the radio to Horizon pulse, and this song is playing, I feel like I am going to cry again, I turn it off and my Xbox crashes. This song changed me and so many other people, and we didn’t even realize that in 5 years it would have felt so nostalgic to us. Many small things in games like creating your first world in Minecraft, or loading into a game for the first time, or getting your first win might seem small, but down the road when you revisit those things, it doesn’t seem so small anymore, and so many memories flood back to you. All of these things in games we do that seem small may have an impact on us in the future. To whoever read all of this, thanks for taking the time to do so, you are amazing. I hope you have a great morning / evening / night and goodbye. Edit: I am in a much better place in my life now, and everything is going much better

I totally agree man, it's got a Forza Horizon vibe towards it, I think this is the best soundtrack weve ever had. Prepare for the best music you've ever heard. I see a vision of me driving down a road in a 2003 Nissan Fairlady Z with a beautiful sunset with clouds as fluffy as can be with a endless amount of road ahead of you with this song going through my head and ears. This is what Horizon has done to me and I've never seen life so clear and beautiful before. 😍

Same story here, FH5 music (except main menu music) kinda sucks compared to FH4. I also loved the season change thingy, FH5 world seemed empty but FH4 festival's vibrant atmosphere, everybody dancing, random pedestrians on the roadside talking to each other. It just sometimes makes me park my car or go really slow and enjoy the ambience.

The song won't be nostalgic to me because i will listen to it every day.

owning the Ultimate Edition, I have to disagree with you at this point. It could be potentially a masterpiece but it feels unfinished. There are things that are wrong with it and things that need to be fixed asap. FH3 is currently a masterpiece. FH4 once it gets polished could be.

i brought Forza Horizon 4 couple of years back just because of this awesome intro, no thoughts or reviews, straight up brought the ultimate edition with all the content. spent first 30 mins in menu listening to this. what an amazing game, such lively community.. racing randoms, doing random convoy tours with bunch of awesome gamers on motorway, no racing, just chilling together, and also discovered my next fav artist chvrches, lauren mayberry you beauty.. amazing vocals.. so in love with her❤

its a song of peace and freedom and is something the world loses everyday... this song brings me to a place i can escape the chaos of the world and the responsibilities of life and hardship of maintaining it..and just sit watch the stars and memories that bring a tear of pure joy and love knowing all that ive accomplished and seeing unfold before my eyes...there so much pain and chaos in the world sometimes i just need a break and i put on this song.. the song is called "a moment apart" by odezsa and the forza team picked that song to be the forza horizon 4 theme.. damn it fits it so well.. its a game of peace and freedom the ability to have the world in your hand drive anywhere in the beauty of it all.. no better theme to use then that

The memories this game made for me is just incredible

I remember visiting my sister in college in fall 2019, I never really saw autumn before that but it was so beautiful. I wanted to play a game with it so I tried to run FH4 on my old laptop with 1GB VRAM (lol), and it crashed after loading for about 20 seconds or so. 2.5 years later, I could finally play it. And by god, hearing that song again made me cry. Every now and then I also still feel the same emotion/state I was in when I was in that old autumn city.

This song hits you like a truck when you realize just how far the forza series as a whole has come

This start-up screen can bring a tear to my eye. It’s just so beautiful it shows me how beautiful Horizon can be and how everytime Playground Games makes a new Horizon game, they can make it the most stunning it can be. GG Playground. GG. Edit: Thanks for 30 likes

Honestly when I got this game after a friend recommended it to me I thought I would get board from the lack of action. I'm used to playing shooters and stuff like GTA 5, he saw how much I liked driving in GTA and said I should try the demo of Forza 4. So I did and it's been my favorite game ever since. It's incredible how peaceful driving around on the open road can be.

I remember i got an xbox one x at Christmas when this game came out, it was a bundle and it came with Forza Motorsport 7 and horizon 4, i wasnt really mad about forza horizon 4 at first because I wanted to play forza horizon 3 and I did and had fun, decided to download Forza horizon 4 and man i couldn't stop playing it, it was so good

I love how the windshield wipers on the McLaren Senna move to the rhythm of this music, perfect. I love it

Darren Murphy I still love the original Horizon. I’ve made a FH playlist and so many songs originate from the first game. The game will always be special to me, it was my game of choice during a very pivotal moment in my life and it helped me escape.

Damn, this song was the very first thing I heard when launching my games on Xbox, I'm from Russia, and our game consoles are not cheap entertainment here, I really wanted Forza Horizon, and this dream came true when I do loaded the game, this song played, it really fascinated me, now, 4 years later, and already like a year after the sale my Xbox, I came across this music, and you don't put how I cried, this music brought me back to that carefree time, when everything was fine, there were no wars, and my relatives were alive, I want to say thank you very much for the fact that this song will always remind us of this happy time

Agreed. I booted the game up and I just sat with it playing the intro song for about 15 minutes and went through all the memories in my head! Driving the old roads that I drove with my ex during lockdown really hit me in the feels!

The memories this brings back I was 6 when I first played this game

This music is the most beautiful song my ears have ever been blessed with, and with it paired with the second to none eye candy graphic quality, it makes it just an awesome loading screen. When I loaded up the demo for the first time, I sat their for 5 minutes and even shed a tear of joy because of this ground breaking game

This game got me through the pandemic. This song and the rest of the soundtrack played a big part in that.

fuck i was just listening to music and this came on, and all the memories of me and my first ever friend ive made on xbox just popped up and us playing forza and all these other games, it seriously made me sob a little, im still in contact with him but we havent talked for about 2 years, and this 100% made me reach out, i miss that guy like hes a brother to me, seriously made my childhood and life better, but damn a single song can hold so many memories, from friends, to my mom, just the piano makes me flash these memories and i can hear them like echos and see the memories in black and white, i-, i miss the good old days, whoever reads this, please hold on to every memory and person you have close, because you never know whats gonna happen next

This game makes me happy that I'm living in this world and how much I appreciate my life because of this game

Forza horizon 4 menu song: nice, somewhat calming, the best song you could ask for, Forza horizon 3 menu song: TAKE ME AWAY..... AAAAA-AAAAAAAA-OOOOOHOOOOO

This song, for some reason, takes me back to 2020 and overwhelms me with a lot of feelings. That year, I lost my father to COVID, and during the quarantine I used to play this game and Valheim with my friends every day. Those little moments with them helped me immensely in coping with everything. Now, as I'm slowly entering my mid-20s, I've lost touch with them as life happened, and we've all moved to different places. It hasn't been very long, but this song brings back incredibly nostalgic feelings

Forza horizon is one of my favorite games. A game where you and your buddies can just chill and tear about the countryside in your favorite cars and enjoy sharing a passion for engineering.

I accidentally fell asleep to this playing in the background😂
