in my 35 years in the sport that was absolutely the most conciseplus description of the JC FLOP WRIST and kudos to recognizing Jerry's all round talent. respect to you devon...Hmmm..maybe another WAL match in the cards?
Great vid Devon. Thank you I like the concept of coming forward with your hand and shoulder while retreating back with your elbow position and drag. I think this is the most dominant victory possible. Ie..... Travis in 2016 on Jerry at WAL, trumped jerry with the hand dominance and removed any side pressure of Jerry's by retreating with the elbow position and body once the hand was secured.

I really enjoyed that analysis.
I noticed Shannon behind you, I had no idea he was your brother. The body mod community lost such a great person when he passed. Its amazing how you both did so much for your respective communities.
Frode Haugland is an Amazing transitioner from the Flop Wrist to a tricep or shoulder roll also. Its awesome to watch.

Devon, this is really great commentary! Please give us more videos like this.
I think in the last 5 years I've heard you speak about arm wrestling! This is the absolute best review/analysis you've put forward. You're calm, on subject. Details are bang on and most importantly it's like your analysis has a storyboard to it 🙂 keep it up Mr. Larret. Looking forward to your next hammer
Love how much respect you have for everyone instead of smack talk The back bent wrist looks so damn painful and even nerve damaging For Jerry to be able to do that so well is amazing
The flop wrist is a brutal but very effective move and it does take a special person to pull it off. Only a couple people come to mind that can pull it off Jerry cadderette, lars roudenbach and frode haugland (spelling might be wrong) all great pullers. Love the video's so informative learning more and more power up💪
I love how much respect is actually shown in the interviews and other social media things you and MIcaheal Todd and Larry and all the guys are doing now. I assumed a lot of what goes on when you guys are at the table in the moment and playing mind games with each other was mostly a show, that there isn't as much animosity as what it seemed. You guys all clearly have a huge amount of respect for each other and the other top 10-20 guys in the world and are more or less pretty much friends. I love watching though, keep it up. After watching Larry Wheels get beat though, it has assured me that I stand no chance at real arm wrestling. I have had a few everyone in the bar want to pull the big guy and I took 0 losses, but I also learned about how bad the tendonitis can be from it as I didn't lift hard for 3 weeks after spending 3 hours against everyone over and over right then left (my left is much stronger anyway, shocked a few people). Loving arm wrestling though, way to go promoting it.
Here is 2023. These tactics, techniques and strategy type videos are so good and precise.
Please do more of these Devon. This is captivating
LOVE this format
Devon you are amazing. The entire community owes you so much. i love these series. can't wait to see the video about a high hook (taras style),
that thumbnail is gold!
I've used the "Flop Wrist Press" more like a defensive move against the the Top Roll. Works the best against guys who solely depend on the top roll and have not much else to offer. It is painful but if you can take it, you can convert most of their horizontal pull to vertical pressure acting straight down the wrist into the elbow. Gives me a little bit of a breather while they tire out and then I can make my move. I have to add, the "Dad Move" will counter this move 10/10.
Beautiful analysis!! Love it!!
Jerry is one of the modern pioneers. Seeing him back in the old clips on ESPN and whatnot he was an apex predator. Dude's arms have seen some combat. Blee dat.
Giving Matt so much time in the video... wow. Again such a gem of a sportsman :)
Great video as always. keep going Devon. Good luck!!
Love these detailed discussions on techniques and strategies.
Great information Dev...keep these style videos coming.

In another life you would have made one hell of kinesiology major or sports therapist. Your understanding of body mechanics, leverage/angle physics on the body and the operation of the anterior chain is amazing
I Love you Devon! Thanks for showing us the technique
You should definitely write a book on the fundamentals of arm wrestling Devon.
Ansome review Devon , keep them coming .....thanks!!
Great video Devon. I’d love to see you do a breakdown of all the top folk. Despite being in to arm wrestling for a few years now, there was so much in this video that I wouldn’t have even noticed otherwise
Hell yea that was an awesome vid, really informative and entertaining! Cool how you used one guy as a case study to examine the nature of the sport overall. Jerry has always been one of my favorite armwrestlers to watch. I kinda wish you had reviewed your own match with him though lol, as that is one of my favorite matches of all time. Either way still a great vid, hope you make more in this style!
This was a great video and very informative Devon’s table IQ as you can see is very high! Love arm wrestling 💪💪

I'm not halfway into this video writing this but this type of video is awesome! Great footage and insight
Huge motivation to me!
Amazing breakdowns by the Champ 👍💪
This video was very informative and eye opening. Jerry did reminded us about how important shoulder commitment is , specially the inside one , does that mean Hookers are generally in a disadvantage In WAL , while it goes the other way around for toprollers in the basic AW tables ? 🤔 Anyways this longer video "case study" was really informative and awesome , how about making it a series Devon ?

I think a Right arm match with Denis Tsyplenkov is a must, this -case study- vídeos are great
Great video!
I wish I had come across these videos earlier. You should do more of this, very cool breakdowns. I wouldn't bet against the #1 in the world vs Jerry, but I would be super interested to see what the monster Georgian would look like against a well prepared Jerry. I would rather watch that than Levan vs Micheal.
Dude I really like this type of video!! More plz!!!
Great analysis of the Flop Wrist Press. Jerry is probably the best flop wrist presser in the world. It's an odd move that a lot of people don't like and definitely is uncomfortable for both pullers (more pain for the presser). The 2 Best ways to beat a press are: 1. Out press the press by gaining hand control (with a cup) and press over the press. 2. Be very strong inside and grip low to prevent the flop. A strong flop-wrister can be toprolled with a lot of speed and power or if you are very strong in the hand/wrist and arm.
Jerry is a beast . One of my favorites hes very humble too.
Thanks for this video.
I hope i can meet you one day!
DEVON EXCITED FOR 2019 LET'S GO LEFT AND RIGHT CHAMP THIS YEAR PLEASEEE ✔️😍😍😍😍
The added retreat area on the newer pad design... wow I never knew that. Not only does it give more geometry for those that know how to take advantage of leverage/angles for retreat it gives more open possibility for mixmatched arm lengths for more opponents to come together and be competitive where other pad designs potentially favored one or the other. I hope I’m on the right track with that assessment.
Cool video concept.!!😊
Great info
Personally a big fan of the hook style press you finished Binnie with. For me, backpressure will get me past the central pivot of the table, and then at that angle when the other guy finds his stop, I reef hard on that cup and supination and drive down into the press using the bottom edge of my hand putting max pressure on that wrist nerve.
You are an arm wrestling God.
Well done so far .Watch out for Prudnik in the futur and wanna see u win vs Todd ,as a payback, and Cyplenkov too

As it should be. In some respect some masters/mentors are never eclipsed... this is not even taking aptitude in to account.
So much wisdom even a dummy like me is actually learning lol and its hard for me to retain anything thing in this numb skull but I am with you lol.
Flop Press is cool and all versus those hand strength mutants but i like to go heavy on the old supination and press staight into their nerve at the wrist to hand connection. If you can snap that supination off the start hard enough, even a little nerve pinch will disconnect them alot from their power making it harder to regrip on the fly. Awesome vid.....not sure why i decided to comment on my 6th viewing of it haha
I need to see more videos like this
Love this can you make one on the can opener
My journey here been very strange (starting knowing literally nothing about armwrestling) - 2 days ago first seeing all your videos on Jujimufu's channel, then watching a bizarrely large amount of other arm wrestling content, to eventually getting to your channel and watching a 13:31 min technique case study video on the pro armwrestling meta... Anyways I think this video was fascinating and I think you should turn this into a series. You could do a bunch of case studies on the specific techniques of famous arm wrestlers. For example, I would love to see a video on Michael Todd and his crazy weird under the table technique, why you think it works and what your thoughts on it are. I've crazily seen enough content of yours already to know you said "his technique is very advanced" in that finals match post-interview. Curious why you think that because to the laymen it just looks like cheating (though I know it's not).
I get a pleasant forearm stretch when I allow my wrist to flop during an opponent's top roll. The key is bleeding them out and timing the perfect slingshot effect of my stretched wrist into a top roll of my own and seal a victory often right when it appears I'm about to get pinned.
More like this. Teach us
Devon you will going to beat everybody this 2019 SAME THING ONLY HARDER!✌🏻
