47's were the norm before the 60's and 66's taking Fuel Oil from the Humber and Lindsey Refineries, this reminds me of 47401 when she she got pseudo Green treatment before withdrawal.

I was only on 47 401 last weekend on a santa special at midland railway Centre

As a 47 Fan, I agree because they haul Passenger/Freight very strong in Br blue era

Must admit the WSR Class 47 is a slightly unusual choice, but possibly logical if looking for traction other than the 66 (in terms of accuracy with the later style of TEA bogie tanks). The WSR is based on D1661/47077/47613/47840 "North Star" although DTG never gave their representation nameplates. I always found it slightly annoying from an accuracy perspective that 'Vintage Railtours' on numerous route utilised traction not fitted with high intensity headlights (and cab radio). Furthermore Freightliner retain 47830 in BR Green and is still used on the mainline albeit more likely to be seen hauling new vehicle deliveries and/or bogie hopper wagons (utilised as transformer vehicles/brake force generators).

I agree with what you say about the price being a bit high for what it is. So I will wait for a sale for it.

Could you please adjust the volume of your speech? The ambient game noise is way louder and sometimes it is really hard to hear your voice and compared to other youtube videos I always have to up the volume by at least 30% when listening to your great videos. Thanks.

Yeah, it's always tricky with TSC to find the sweet spot 😅
