    Good times Offroad, get a Detroit locker in that rear diff, will help you immensely. I had one in my 1985 full size Bronco, bullet proof 9 inch,, 2 WD most of the day. Have fun

    The E locker in the rear are usually pretty good . I upgraded my front to a torsen out of a raptor. Huge improvement. Great truck you have there. I would love to go on trails like that.

    Thanks for posting this. I was there today in a 2" lifted F-150 with 34" tires, and decided against going through 3:40. Did you hit your diff? I will probably try again with a couple of maxtrax to the right of that rock.

  • @simpleinstinct

    @simpleinstinct

    It sounds like I might have hit it. Better wheel placement or a spotter would have mitigated that. Also, you could just throw a rock down in there.

    Do you have the electric E locker that Ford has on this truck? If so doesn't look like it's engaging? Once that back tire comes up it just spins and you teeter totter and stop. Acting like a open diff? I've saw in another video you mentioned the E locker in a comment so wondering if it's just that crappy or what haha. I have the same truck with E locker so just wondering. Haven't tried it out fully yet though.

    @@simpleinstinct hmm shouldn't be doing that, once it's locked shouldn't have the open diff action at all. I guess I have to get out there and give mine a try to see if it does the same thing.

    @@simpleinstinct So after some research, apparently if you go over 20 mph it'll disengage or it should, and if you let it roll backwards at all it disengages. And takes a bit for it to re engage. Sounds like a air locker would be the better route and stay locked. But it came with the truck so I'll use it till it breaks haha
