I pretty much was able to follow everything that happened in the storyline without this. The only thing that was new to me was the Hope (skin) connection to the Myth. I think PlayStationGrenade might also need to look at NPC dialogues as well since those are also being used to tease lore. For example, Jonesy says the Society kidnapped Peely to force Jonesy to tell them his knowledge of the past. Or the fact that Odyssey has an interested reaction to the Hope Skin. Which almost confirms that theory.

@@TheEpicGalaxy21 Is there any way to get more in-depth into the lore? would you recommend any particular channel? Because I don't know if it's just me, but for me it's really hard to keep track of these story bits while ingame. Even if a NPC straight up explains to me important lore points like I'm 5, it's hard to really pay attention when you don't know if you could be headshotted from a mile away while you're reading. Don't even get me started on how I wouldn't notice a book was moved from a location to another in so big a map. I love playstationgrenade's videos but I'd like to know more.

@@Linkale_Admittedly, I haven't really been watching many Storyline KZreadrs myself besides PlayStationGrenade and *Maybe* Top5Gaming (Who also tends to go in broad strokes, but I feel like may add in unconfirmed information/ theories/ leaks without clearly saying that, so they may give you an inaccurate picture of the storyline if you can't follow it yourself). A lot of Storyline channels have either stopped posting, focused on other types of content, or decided to become a "Fortnite Hate" Channel... Probably because they can't constantly find new lore to discuss. So I'm afraid, the *ideal option* is still just to go straight to the source, so here's my tips for that: a) Check your quests every so often to see if there are any new storyline related ones b) Watch youtubers who cover map changes to find map changes that could possibly be storyline related c) Search online for what NPCs have special Lore dialogue, and with whom d) Check any and all new loading screens, battle pass or otherwise since they appear to be one of the ways the storyline is told this chapter. ...And if you *can't be bothered* for all that you can look up KZreadrs who cover each of these things so you don't have to do them yourself. For quests I recommend Perfect Score (Though lately they seem more focused on LEGO Fortnite), and Comrad3s. For map changes, Postboxpat (Though I haven't watched him in ages so I don't know how he's like nowadays). And as all-rounders who can cover the first 3 points I'd say EverydayFN and Tabor Hill. I hope this has been helpful and sorry if it wasn't. As I've said, it seems like a lot of the people who I would trust more with the Lore have either kind of given up on it, or moved on. And the storyline creators who've taken their place... may or may not be clickbaiters or unreliable. I haven't watched them, but if you want to take the plunge, there's Rezztro, and PBJ.

I actually have a mini-theory that cleverly references the story of Pandoras Box. If you talk to the Odyssey for the snapshot quests, she mentions something about the medallions and how they are linked to ancient past. I think the medallions belonged TO the gods, and the Society had stolen them, claiming them for themselves. This lines up with how Pandoras Box was unleashed in actual Greek myth, due to something being stolen from the gods (the eternal flame).

This season was so confusing like the season starts on a random island with no context on how they got there. and we find out peely is missing. Then the ninja turtles show up then leave then they guve use a random challenge set about peely being missing then forget all about him until a hand with a chest chained to it showed up. Then when the chains broke and the chest opened, a fire tornado comes out with ghosts and ghost hands in it. Crazy

The Big Bang pretty much explained the first thing already. We saw the creation of all 4 modes (which includes BR) and a billboard in the event had a Missing Peely Poster on it. Also, if the rumour that the Big Bang event we got was only a fraction of what it was originally meant to be, I imagine much of the storyline details we were MEANT to get in the event got cut out for... business reasons. Also, most collab stuff is generally non-canon so that bit technically isn't part of the story. So basically, we got on the Island, found out some rich people kidnapped Peely, helped Jonesy and Hope take them down to bring back Peely. And the fallen Leader of the Society abandons them in her pursuit for power and brings the Greek Myths down upon us...

I'm very excited and intrigued about where this new lore is going. I feel that if they keep Valeria around as the centerpiece throughout the chapter 5 lore, that will create a continuous storyline. As if when you add a new character and don't even build up their story, and then the next thing that specific character is gone to never be heard of again.

Im gonna guess that the zero point is in Pandora's box. It will be hope. It may not play a role now but I'm sure they'll bring it back.

I mean it could be a reference to the past or just something else since it seems like the story did get a soft reboot especially after how long they used the zero point concept for. Knda glad if that's how it concluded tbh

@@yopidy ig we'll see because the soft reboot was kinda necessary since Donald Mustard retired and the new guy came up to take his place so it was best to give him a bit of a clean(ish) slate

He forgot to mention the Takedown quests which when we did 8 of them Peely was saved the Takedown quests were this season's story quests no voice lines but they have story so in the Takedown challenge defeat Montague when Montague is defeated Jones says something like he wants Montague to see his little society crumble, Hope goes to her sister Valeria and defeats her and Hope reveals Valeria doesn't know where Peely is but Hope says something like whatever Valeria is studying is important as well, Hope defeats Oscar and Hope says that Oscar doesn't need the Society, Jones and Hope both defeat Nisha and Jones says that he hopes Nisha leaves the Society and rebuilds things with her brother Kavel and Jones and Hope open the Society vaults to check if Peely is in one of them and Hope and Jones defeat the Society Tactical and Elite goons and Jones gets clues from them on where Peely is then Peely is finally saved and it looks like Peely was in Fencing Fields so after Jones and Hope went to Fencing Fields to defeat Nisha they most likely found Peely there after defeating Nisha and then Jones took Peely and escaped Fencing Fields with Hope most likely following them as Jones wouldn't just leave one of his new friends behind and then Hope says she always has Jones's back in NPC dialogue and that Jones always has her's so you can see a relationship kind of developing between the 2 plus apparently there are areas on the map where there is a heart around Jones and a heart around Hope so it looks Jones and Hope have more of a relationship than just being friends so Hope will most likely become Jones's new wife and in Jones's NPC dialogue we now know exactly why Peely was captured as Jones tells us the Society took Peely to learn about Jones's history so it's now confirmed Jones remembers everything that happened before the Big Bang and he is the only one that does for now so thankfully this confirms the story only got a soft reeboot the story is in Charlie Wen's hands now

Honestly. If Fortnite wasn’t down I would played before watching.

With the peely loading screen, it was a reward for defeating all the society bosses, and then pandoras box happened a few days later so the society isn't actually the ones who wanted us to break the chains because they were already defeated

As someone who has read a lot of Greek mythology I think the giant hand was Kronos who was the father of Hestia, Demeter, Hera, Hades, Poseidon, and Zeus in that order Zeus being the youngest Kronos was cut into pieces by them after Zeus saved them (Kronos heard that one of his kids would kill him so he swallowed all of them except Zeus because Zeus’s moth swapped him out with a rock) and they fought Kronos with items from the cyclops’s and trapped him in Tartarus which is like hell in Greek mythology where all monsters and bad people go when killed (Tartarus is also the father of monsters which reproduce into different monsters like Cerberus the three headed dog guardian of the underworld in Greek mythology Hades pet dog and the Chimera for an example for monsters) Which would explain the giant hand reaching out of the GROUND while holding pandoras box

Judging from the 2nd Zeus loading screen in CH5S2 the leaders of the Society didnt take kindly to Zeus' plan for humanity and took matters into their own hands(and probably lost and were forced into hiding as a result).

I had no idea about the live event with the titan hand. Just so happened to be in-game and within view when it happened. Never saved a replay faster.

This has probably been mentioned before, but I discovered that Jason Voorhees harvesting knife makes a very familiar noise when you use it on another player. 🤭

Yh I love fortnite but they gotta do better with the story. It's why I loved playing fortnite. The lore and the story quest you do. It really makes you feel like fortnite is an open world
