Yeah they did it dirty, it used to be very strong and for a long time held up very well with the ever growing competition. Now it’s gone from a fun rifle to an arguably worse smg in the body of a rifle.

Funny thing is, the description of the gun says “low recoil and tight spread” Yeah…. About that…

That's because they legit copy pasted from the old weapon, which did have tight spread and low recoil, the Chapter 4 version making this even more true with the scope (godly weapon btw) but this one is the complete opposite. 😭

Being hit scan would have made it WAY more op. Last season the lock on pistol was crazy for being hit scan still and was actually really good competitively for middle games because it was super far away rags for decent damage that would be hard to hit otherwise

@@SosaIDK it can easily be, it has no damage drop off, no Bullet drop, its hits can, it can heal you in water, and it reloads in a split second. The only thing the burst is better at is dps, breaking, and close range.

1. put attachments on it to lessen the bloom and spread 2. tactile doesnt mean long range, it means close to medium range

This was my favourite weapon until chapter 5 season 2

It’s kind of a weird smg-ar middle ground that makes it really hard to use

would’ve been much better if it did 23/24/25/27/28 damage, both have similar recoil but one is more dps/ttk based and the other is the standard versatility of a standard rifle (think like a Scar)

The burst, warforged and even nemesis are just way better in every scenario than this gun though it’s really bad

Epic needs to buff that weapon immediately.

In chapter 4 when this thing had a scope every match my opponents disappeared died in seconds when i had it in my hands. Why did they nerfed it so match???😢

I like the tactical ar more than the warforged because with the tac I atleast hit something

I actually like the tactical AR more than the warforged because the recoil isn’t as bad, plus it’s dead silent when suppressed, which is good for stealth gaming.

If we are gonna have scoped/sighted ranged weapons like ARs then bullet drop needs to be in the game. I’d personally prefer to go back to the old hitscan with spread system, without the first person scopes, but that’s never gonna happen. So for the sake of balancing mid to long range engagements with the current loot pool you need bullet drop imo.

Any gun would be better than the current ones 😂

This is why hitscan needs to come back.

Bro when I use my attachments it’s was insane. It’s Red dot sight drum mag laser to remove some of the spread and muzzle break

I would buff it like this: make it like CAR from Apex (just let it use heavy and lights) and depending on what ammo you have it will change recoil, demage, spread ect.

we needed the lmg with attachments 😮‍💨

This gun will always be my favorite weapon, and just like the thermal rifle, which I also used to love, they changed it and now it’s a shell of what it used to be.

The main use of the Tac AR was that it had good accuracy for farther distances. Now it’s literally just a reskin of the Warforged where if you don’t have a sight you can’t shoot anyone who isn’t trying to blow your head off with a shotgun, and at that point you’re better off using something else.

Tactical AR isn’t even all that bad. It might be weak when it comes to damage, but its speed is pretty good and it uses light ammo which is easy to find in large packs so imo its solid

With the right attachments, this gun shreds

The tactical AR is really good I think it's a skill issue for most people

Man why do they feel the need to change the damn gun model and sound, its not bad but isn't better than the original, i hope this gun gets a buff and its old model because the new wasn't necessary.

I remember it’s good for close quarters like an smg but. At that point you have better options.

I miss the og tac ar back when it was still 3rd person when you aim with it

i usually use it as a change for the hardbringer as I think the hard is pretty bad with its recoil and firerate

the amazing thing of the original is the sight mixed with hitscan. now with the new one, that's gone so it turns out pretty booty

I didn't notice it used the pistol ammo. But I remember when they first unvaulted it I noticed almost immediately that I was better off just using a harbinger smg or drum gun

the tactical AR was good when the Drum Gun was good. You could use the Tact for an AR with its mini-ammo while ur medium-ammo went to the Drum Gun

i’m enjoying the burst now, i used to hate on it but i run it as a primary a lot

I can't do nothing with that burst SMG but get ticked off at getting pasted by everything else, even with the jump on them

I got so excited when i picked up a tactical ar but that excitement canished very quickly

One thing i have noticed is that almost every old weapons that were decent or useful, have not aged well with the current gunplay of this chapter. If you brought back even the scar which everyone loves, it will not hold up to even a grey warforged AR

The issue with the new Tactical AR compared to the Chapter 5 Hand Cannon & Drum Gun is that most of it's stats are straight up copy-pasted from the hitscan version without taking into account the bullet-drop system. While the other two unvaults have either better damage, damage dropoff, and/or spread, the Tac AR only has a small spread buff with nearly twice the recoil. It just can't compete with any other weapon this season.

The amount of battles I’ve lost because of this gun is insane. They need to buff it because even though the spread and recoil is trash it’s still one of my favorite guns to use

I played with the original back on the day and now with this one I have figured out that with the right mods from mod bench’s you can reduce the recoil

The Tac AR seems to have less recoil than any other AR, with the downside of damage. It is good depending on your play style, but it seems a little underwelming based off its legacy version (pre chapter 5)

The og tac ar used to be my main beam weapon in any 1v1 before they came out with the workbenches I was so happy it came back but then I realized that even with the mods it would never be as good as it used to 😭😢

Bro old tac ar was broken imo, crazy range, ran light ammo, fast reload speed and ttk was incredibly good not to mention very little recoil. It was essentially an smg with assult rifle range

its a mp and ar combined. it shoots sooo fast and if you dont have bad aim its very well

It's got a nice sound to it... But that's it. I only use it when I land and need a weapon.

if you know how to use it the things hectic, up close sprays with a green/blue can put people down before they know it and the minimal recoil+bloom means you don’t need to worry about missing as often
