A big chip on the shoulder with " privileged middle class men" although her discomfort here is probably with being in such close proximity to a real scholar who is so superior intellectually her concentration level couldn't cope and she had to exit..lots of anger issues there I'm afraid.

Its good to see common sense and the truth. The constitution is an extremely important document and should not be changed without due care and attention without trying to forsee the unintended consequences. I may not have always agreed with Mr McDowells politics but his integrity was always beyond reproach. One of the few people to highlight the flaws in proposal to ammend the referendum. The Irish government would be better to put the taxpayers resources into housing, the education system and the dysfunctional health care system. The language in the constitution was of its time and endeavoured to recognise mothers for their dedication to the family and their selfless dedication.

My experience with the disabled is that they are wholly dependent on the state. They see it as an entitlement and have become expectatant that all their life issues should be compensated for by other people and the state. I am not talking about the mentally disabled but the physically disabled, obviously. Perhaps their lives would be more fullfilled with some challenges in life rather than have everything handed to them

Does Mc Dowall ever stop to listen to himself, because I am betting that everyone in that room could do with a break from him.
