You have my sincere thanks, sir. I didn’t know if you would be able to get around to doing this video, but I’m glad I requested it. The results were really quite interesting: I am impressed that the round did so well against soft body armor, even from a short barrel; I am underwhelmed, however, with its performance on the meat target. Its still very interesting ammo, but seems to be more limited in application than I thought. Oh well, that’s why I am grateful when people test these things. Thanks for all the work. Have an awesome day.

Just came across your channel & I really like the straight forward info & millinium era feel. I've used the fort scott TUI against an interceptor vest taped around an empty 55 gallon drum. Just one layer of vest it went right through & both sides of the drum. We doubled the vest up & it stopped the TUI in the second layer of vest but still put a nice sized dent in the drum. Impressive stuff if you are looking for penetration. I got very similar velocities out of my Jericho as you did your Beretta. Keep up the good work man.

@@stevensparks3126 That's right. AP ammo sales ban is meant to prevent retarded ghetto thugs from getting them. Anyone with 3 digit IQ can make their own AP projectiles and reload cartridges with them. It ain't rocket science. However, with the 5.7 it ain't even necessary to play with lathe. A hot 2000fps+ load of 5.7 with a hard cast FMJ will easily go through any 3a armor. Give that a thought!

@Richard Add: I used ti be an “ammo mixer,” but some time ago Paul produced a video concerning this specific subject, in which he recommended it not be done. He and I then followed up with an exchange of posts, during which he explained that “ammo mixing” may make an individual appear more suspicious to law enforcement and prosecutors. You might want to review that KZread and its comments. I’m not criticizing you or your practice of doing so, nor do I have a reasoned opinion regarding “ammo mixing.” I am only mentioning that an individual - who is a widely respected expert - specifically suggested that I discontinue doing so.

My 1st Smith I owned was a model 10. 4 inch- heavy barrel. I bought it in 1988 from a buddy who was getting divorced. It was real clean- got it for $125. Even came with a leather shoulder holster. Great gun! I got stupid and traded it off a few years after I got it. Damn, wish I would have kept it. Back then, the model 10 was considered by most gun shops to be of little value. They would offer you $85 trade in on one. I did pick up another one in a trade later on. It was a heavily holster worn cop trade in. Had rubber grips. It wasn't pretty but it sure did shoot. I always kept Remington semi- jacketed 125 gr hollow point plus p in both of them. That round worked great on varmits around my dad's farm.

@Zach Christos: Paul owns a four inch barrel, Smith M15, K Frame chambered for .38 Special (I believe was his father’s duty sidearm some decades ago). He has used it in MANY videos, loaded with a wide variety of standard pressure and +P cartridges. Accordingly, - if you want to explore a bit - I‘m confident his KZread library includes a good many velocity and meat target tests employing his S&W M15.
