I like to imagine when the writers pitched this Brock literally just threw a fucking grenade, but at the last second they decided it was too violent so the animators added foretress coming out of a pokeball before the boom.

Best ever entrance in the entire history of Pokemon anime.

Brock Came In And Already Killed His Pokemon!

This is as such a cool entrance. He uses Foretress like a living grenade (which… I guess it actually is). Something that could only work in the anime. In the games, if your only Pokémon is Foretress and you try fighting a Tailow by using Explosion, the force will send you flying right back to the Pokémon Center. But Brock would probably WANT to be there, so…

Best Brock entrance.

I actually liked how Brock came out of nowhere appeared as a silhouette and saved Ash and the 2 hoenn siblings it feels rather exciting.

This was pretty badass I’m not going to lie. Poor Forretress though.

The funny thing about this is he could've just used Geodude. Geodude is native to Hoenn and can use Self-destruct and Explosion. But since Pineco was given the tendency to explode in the anime, they used that... So hey, a Non-Hoenn native mon in a Non-Gen 3 obtainable Pokéball in a series focused mostly on Gen 3...

It also would show that he could've taught Geodude a new attack where Self-destruct and Explosion are moves Geodude are known for.

There isn't a sound or force type yet. The closest we have to that is flying or psychic. They have to label is as default normal.
