In Texas where there is no wolves the coyotes run around in packs mostly, you can hear them in the evening yelping in country places.

I was in Denver for a friend’s bachelor party in 2015 and we were bar hopping dowtown next to Coors Field; and one of the bars we went to an old Vietnam veteran/hippie guy was there and had his frikkin’ emotional support dog in there with him. But it was a tame rescue wolf! An “emotional support wolf”! A proper registered “ptsd” wolf. Right there in the bar, with him! It was so freaking cool and scary, as someone who had never even seen a wolf. But, he let me pet it, and the wolf of course let me touch him. And it was awesome! The plushest, thickest fur I have ever petted or touched on any type of canine or dog.

I’ve seen a white wolf in the wild one time with a friend in the Cherokee National Forest, TN. It was so majestic, like a spirit of the woods that the native Americans would venerate !!! So awesome !!!

I interacted with some wolf-dogs (that were decidedly wolf in their mindset) at a refuge for them (Howling Woods Farm in Jackson, NJ). Some were incredibly friendly and sweet and others were standoffish, but NONE were aggressive in the least. One volunteer even approached the 2nd of one of the packs while it fed on a deer carcass and as the volunteer stepped forward, the wolf-dog backed up. There was an animal trainer with us at the time and he commented that a domesticated dog would probably come over the carcass to defend its food, so he was amazed to see an animal that is "bigger and badder" actually give ground to a human. Wolves and wolf-dogs are absolutely amazing and its so cool to hear how their reintroduction to Yellowstone actually improved the environment. Great story and love your channel!

The ad prop up on my video was perfect. I’m brushing my teeth listening and I hear “the coyotes” “At harbor freight” I had to look down like why is harbor freight being brought up and what does that have to do with Yellowstone lol. I had to laugh and that’s hard when you’re brushing your teeth. 2:30

Another cool thing about the wolves in Yellowstone is that the deer eat the aspen. It just so happens that aspen is the tree of choice for beavers, so the population of beavers decreased, which again affected the waterways. Now that there is more aspen, there is more beavers and more beaver dams, which is a good thing for the rivers.

The First Nations did and still do hold wolves in high regard. There's a great deal of respect for the wolves and seeing them as important both in the physical world and the spiritual plane.

That wolf is about the size of my dog, and it’s a pitbull/Ibizan hound mix, nothing huge, about 75-80lbs. IG my dog is just abnormally big for her breed or that wolf is just small.

It could be that the wolf pack will recognize another pack as a threat to its territory and its abundance so they’ll hunt and eliminate all of them but if they see a pair of coyotes here and there there’s no reason to see them as a threat.

Yes, he did… I was surprised because he said it made him feel sad, depressed~ going to see a bunch of neutered wolves. My question to Rogan is~ do you actually think that *FORREST* would be associated with an organization that _did not_ better these amazing animals lives?! That the Forrest we all love & respect as a wonderful leader in finding “extinct” species, protecting them & making sure they remain protected after locating these magnificent animals, that he’d back ANY animal organization who was not doing what’s best for said animals?! I was shocked when he said that. 🤷🏻‍♀️

Rogan has talked a LOT of smack about how deadly and dangerous he believes wolves are. Absolute BS. He had a buddy on his pod, who (along with a hunter friend) killed a bunch of wolves who were simply threatened by the hunters sitting at the wolves den. Just walk away, you boneheads. Another survivor dude Rogan had on his pod told Rogan, to Rogan's shock, of how he lived with wolves for some months, the wolves following him on hunts, him feeding fish to them, etc. No threat, living in harmony. People need to read .. yes, I know people don't read these days .. the book Beyond Words: What Animals Think and Feel by Carl Safina. First part on elephants, second on wolves, last third on orca. Amazing and enlightening read.
