Formula Student East 2023 / Fastest CV Autocross

F0711-11, our beloved car from 2016's season, is back again at Hungaroring to show the new cars how it's done.
This lap is 41.313s and my 6th lap. But even my second lap (therefore a rules legit Autocross lap), would have won CV categorie with 41.6s.
3 EVs being faster is probably ok on a track like this with so many sprints.
The faster EVs:
NTNU Trondheim with their 2023 car (40.515), Delft with their 2017 car (40.762) and TU Munich with their 2018 car (38.371!). Impressive stuff from Munich!

That’s a crazy fast track
Great car and obviously excellent driving. But the organizers deserve a major demerit for a safety violation. The end of the layout, the finish lane, should always be clear well past the stop point. I was dismayed to see a car and pedestrians directly ahead of the finishing competitor. There was NO safe avenue for escape which was not occupied. Any failure which prevented effective braking could have resulted in a catastrophe. Pause the video at 0:45 and consider the driver's options if he cannot stop the car.

You think the f0711-11 is faster than rennteam new ones?

No. The new car had brake issues. This fixed with the same driver in both cars and the new is def. faster.
Do you drive with a university?
