Top 5 hardest to judge moments, I think. Even with Denofa's incomplete, that follow run was incredible until it went south.

That wasn't actually Denofa's incomplete as 2 out of the 3 judges deemed Essa at fault for Denofa spinning out. And yes, I also think it was a really tough call to make and I'm still not 100% sure if I agree with that decision. But regardless of anything, Aasbo getting the championship was something he really deserved and I'm quite happy for the way things turned out this year.

I mean, Denofa didn't complete his run so I get it when you talk about "Denofa's incomplete", although technically speaking Essa was the one to get an incomplete for that incident even though he did complete his run.

I was at the track. Section 4 row 5. They had the announcers turned up so loud, we had to take multiple breaks because of the noise. People were plugging their ears BETWEEN RACES. During the runs we couldnt even hear the cars. Its was ear bleeding loud. Multiple people complained, including me, to the people incharge how unbearable it was. They did nothing about it. Never goin to formulaD irwindale again. Couldnt be more disappointed. If they are this clueless about a simple sound check, they will struggle to grow their in-person audiences.

I’ll just add that 3 groups, about 15 people sitting near us left halfway thru. I only stuck around because my buddies were dying to be there, and we spent $150 on plane tickets to see the show.

Welcome to the current state of fd. They shove the garbage that is Jarod DeAnda down our poor ears. He must own a larger portion of the rights because they do nothing to necessitate his improvement. Same crap every year. It is why I follow everything else, and support local tracks. FD has failed the fans.

@@furyofgungnir yeah I just started getting into after my buddies got into it at the end of last year. We live about an hour away from Evergreen speedway in WA. We went their earlier this year, and it was awesome. Cars sounded fantastic and the atmosphere was great. We could hear the announcers, but they wernt too loud, so you could tune them out if you want. When the cars were on the track, all you could hear was the roaring V8s, and gunshots from the asian cars. How it should be. 10/10 at evergreen 0/10 in irwindale.
