Mustang Unleashed Experience? KEEP ALL THE CROWDS AWAYYYYYYY!!! As much as I'm kidding, I'm also impressed by the S197, S550, and S650 chassis. Something has been done right, and the Coyote has been a phenomenal platform. I'm not a Ford fan boy, more a fan of the simplicity of the LS platform, but it's hard to argue with results. Well done to everyone, keep it up!

Do the judges even have eyeballs

You know I understand where FD comes from with “If we did protests every time we could never get all the runs in”. But I was there for FD Atlanta. Not one run I would even protest except for Deane and also for Adam. Deane didn’t even care so for his part it is what it is. If anything there would have literally been one protest and review for Adam and Matt. That being said I would in fact bring protests back. Out of top 32 and 16 one protest? I don’t think that is too much to ask for.

So there are conditions where it could work and Seeding and 32 would possibly be acceptable. The thing that is important to remember that appears to be getting missed and that is probably our fault is a battle like Deane and Aasbo had nothing to protest in it. In fact, there isn't on battle that had something that could in principle be legitimately be protestable. I can make one up so you can see, but the previous protest requirement is quite narrow. Now that doesn't stop people from trying, but they need to do that because they need to try and take a chance even if there isn't one. I can explain that if you'd like.

Biggest questionable moment that I ll never let go was 2023 STL James VS Thorne! Never should have been an OMT. The OMT Thorne drove straight in the chase like 5 cars behind James. Yet James was blamed for his line and angle disrupting Thorne 😢 This year so far I think the judges are doing great IMHO!

We need more Vaughn!! Clearly a mechanical issue and still got it back!

The easiest way to look at all the issues right now is that there were too many changes all at once. Nothing was that broken but so many things were changed that it’s hard to be prepared for what turns out to upset the experience of the sport. The explanation of all the rule changes did not highlight the bottom line in a concise way because it was all too much.

long beach 2024 - Noback vs Tuerck - In 2023 Long beach while talking about Aasbo-Field battle Ryan Lanteigne said:"We can't make assumptions about what would have happened in the chase", then this year you seen Noback ready to total his car in the wall and when Tuerck follows Judging Reg 4.1.3 "mimic lead drivers line" he is the one that gets the fault just because he didnt complete the run. Fail on the Judges.

To all the those in the comments saying judges this and judges that, take a step back and breathe. Are some calls questionable? Yeah, but that shouldn't mean negativity should be the first answer. This is a new thing for FD and there was no guarantee it would be the standard, for all we know, it could be a one time experiment. If protests were brought back right now, just imagine how unfair it would be for those in round 1. Best solution to those upset with FD judges, rules, etc. would be to see the 2024 season out, and then decide afterwards if the whole season was truly bad or not.

dude yeah i was upset with the call for like an hour but after that i just wanted to enjoy the rest of the drifting. it sucks but it happens and it is not that big of a deal

Cars hitting other cars isn’t new to fd and Adam should have won. I know your talking about the rules are different but I no way should that battle have been remotely close let alone Matt winning no hate on Matt but the judges made the stupidest call I’ve ever seen since I started watching. They need to bring protests back and omt’s need to be for any kind of run where the judges can’t decide not just 85+ runs.
