    But people are still complaining about Merc dominating in F1, look if you think the race and F1 in general is boring bugger off and find excitement somewhere else. Because i do think IF you're someone who's pursuing an engineering degree ( or at least interested ) will cherish every single race whether it's Abu Dhabi or Germany IMO. :)

    "At this point" lmao. Not like Prema were 1-2-3 in last year's championship. Not like a Prema driver was champion 6 out of 7 seasons in Euro F3. Not like they're 1-2-3 in Formula Regional...

    Since Piastri is already a Renault young driver and clearly has a bright future, I think I’d prefer to see Sargeant win the championship this year since he does have potential but not many people have given him the credit he deserves.

    So I'm fairly new to F1 and just starting to keep tabs of lower formulas. I was curious of others more experienced eyes and input: how possible will it be for the American, Logan Sargent to potentially get a seat in F1? I feel a lot of ppl are missing out here. I realize there has been a messy history between the US and F1 causing loss of enthusiasm, but having an American driver on the grid would go a long way for my flippant countrymen

    He's gotta get into one of the F1 junior programs first. Also depends on how he goes in F2 and what kinda seats at what teams open up in the next 2-4 years. He's definitely surprised me though. I didn't expect the jump he's made from last year. I could see Haas or Williams taking a chance on him and making him a development\academy driver. Certainly the most exciting American prospect since Rossi though.

  • @Undivided-X

    @Undivided-X

    3 жыл бұрын

    @@sn00dmasterK Yeah, if you're lacking sponsors your only hope is to just be as fast as possible and hope a top F1 team will take notice and make you an academy driver, you get perks of driver training, sim testing, maybe even an odd test or practice session here or there, while also not having to pay for a seat in F2 etc. Sargeant needs to keep up his new-found pace and belief and keep plugging away and who knows, might even land a sponsor or two.

    @The Exterminating Angel aww man, I'm seriously envious you got to watch some legendary races and drivers. That decade seemed so awesome. We can hope, with Haas being signed on to the Concorde agreement perhaps that's his easiest way in, how much longer are they willing to put up with Grosjean or KMag? Or is it completely the fault of their own as a constructor?

    He used the momentum from taking a wider line to gain a position. That justifies the penalty for me. Also, the 5 seconds shouldn't perfectly compensate the advantage, it's a penalty to keep the drivers from doing the wrong things after all.
