Green Day is my absolute favorite band of all time!!!!!!! I've been following their career since I was 10 (19 years now lol). I absolutely love them to pieces! I'm so happy that you got the chance to see them in person! I've done it twice and each time the energy is amazing! Enjoyed watching y'all's F1 weekend! Looks like fun times were had. We live 19 miles East of COTA and attend MotoGP (F1 of motorcycle racing) each Spring. Boy, that Ferris Wheel certainly moves fast.😄 Hope y'all had a great time here in Texas and were able to see more of Texas than F1 and Austin. Thanks for sharing your experience. Your seats at the race reminded me of watching the fireworks at MK. You think you've got a good spot and then people stand in front of you..at least no one had their kids on their shoulders!! I love F1 racing & have been to the Belgian F1 race in 1999, totally awesome & I was within walking distance to the Melbourne F1 circuit & volunteered a number of times. It really is an exciting time 👍

Great coverage of the spectator experience we don't see anywhere else. I went to a Formula 1 Grand Prix as a child almost 60 years ago, in East London, South Africa. We were also on a grassy hill. Things have not changed. I remember the high pitch engine noise.

I was surprised too to be honest but everyone loved it and was totally into it, including his dialogue between songs!

I don't remember there being Formula One races, might have been, but this reminds me of the old Riverside International Raceway near my old home town of Riverside, CA! There were various activities but I don't think it was to this extent! Hope you had fun. The Riverside Raceway is now the Moreno Valley Mall and surrounding vicinity. Blah! Thanks for the video!

Welcome to my home state of Texas. We do everything bigger in Texas!!!! I’ve never been to Formula One racing, I’ve never been to NASCAR. You know me Jackie, there’s a lot of things I have never done. I hope you had a great time in Austin. Austin is such a funky city to be in. It’s so cool. If I didn’t live in Fort Worth I would definitely have an Austin. I hope it wasn’t too hot for you, our humidity is way different from Florida humidity. I love Green Day!!!! You are so lucky to have got to see them live. Honestly I don’t know if I could have done that, there were way too many people there. I can’t deal with that many people. That’s why I love your road trip videos because you do things that I don’t think I can do.

Nice trip. Different views for sure. We've been to the Petit LA Mans a couple of times years ago. It was at Road Atlanta near Chestnut Mountain. We always went down on track at the winner's circle. We were about 20 feet from announcer and winner! Cool experience.

Fantastic video!! I was one of the marshals working in turn 1 (I was stationed up near the American flag).You captured so many of the things I've wanted to see happening around the track but can't get around to them due to my work assignment. Its always a long weekend but the 3 day ticket is the best value for sure. You're right about Sunday morning. We were getting our gear setup and ready when all of a sudden the crowd comes flowing in to claim their spot on the hillside! It was great meeting so many people as well. I can't recommend it enough!

Very cool! I’m an Austin native (but moved to Ocala, FL in June 2021) but never went to an F1 race…but on race weekends we would have helicopters flying over our riding stable all of the time transporting people from hotels to the track. We could also sometimes hear the races from our property.

I have been watching F1 regularly since the 90s, but as a kid I always watched the Monaco GP on Wide World of Sports with Jim McKay. I was excited when I saw your insta posts and knew you would do a great job covering the weekend.

Hi Jackie and Sam. Thank you for taking us to the races. My top 2 Drivers are #1 Lance Stroll 🇨🇦 and #2 Lewis Hamilton 🇬🇧. I missed the race because I was watching the NASCAR race in Miami Homestead. NASCAR was at COTA a few months ago. Hope still have your hearing. Keep on having Fun and on to the next Adventure.

I've only been to one race track, the Texas Motor Speedway in Ft Worth. Weirdly enough, it was for a concert, not a race, Rockfest 97. The crowd was about the same size, though.

I loved this and I have never been to a car race before but, this was neat to share in your experience of it. Are the hotels far away from the race track itself? Happy Halloween weekend.

There are hotels in downtown that are close but we stayed a little bit farther away (not far just like 20-ish minutes) to save money and stay out of the thicker crowds.

Hey guys great video as usual. There is a racing experience coming up that may never happen again and will sell out soon because Dale Jr is racing in it. I promise you will get great content and have the time of your lives. I know you are not a racing channel lol, but I promise this is something you should not miss and will get a nice view count. Check out the South Carolina 400 at Florence Motor Speedway and if you do go, buy now because of JR tickets will go quick. Check out the North Wilkesboro race to get an idea of the fun. If you guys go I will buy one of the tickets since I have to DJ a wedding and can not go. And can try to get you in the pits if any of our local drivers race there, but will Dale Jr there, it tends to be more press taking up space. :)

I have legitimately never seen anything quite like this! Our only exposure to the (any) racetrack has been via movies, ranging from 'Cars' to 'The Final Destination' - a pretty wide range with a minimal degree of realism on either end. 👀So cool that you were able to witness it in person, and from such a cool vantage point right there on the turn! Love all the artists, kiosks and displays set up for the event. 'El Pulp' and the 'Badillac' both look like they are well and truly prepared for the inevitable Mad Max era. 😂The view from the ferris wheel was amazing, too; although, I don't blame you for being nervous. I always get nervous about stability on those portable carnival rides to begin with, and the wind does _not_ help to calm those nerves lol Green Day definitely takes me back to my youth, I don't even know how long it's been since I heard some of those 'classics'. The Track Takeover was so cool! Like the running of the bulls....or rope drop at a Disney park! Hope Sam was able to walk off the broken ankle before it came time to drive all the way home. 😂 Thanks for sharing this incredible experience with us!

What a fab experience I've followed F1 since I was little until this year as last year was a debacle, but I'd go just to see Green Day and all the events 😀

You definitely have to come check out Indy both in the fall for all of the amazing Colors and weather as well as Haunts but also in the spring for racing and basketball festivals + scavenger hunt

I've never been to any formula one events...just a drag race (mostly because the Hooters jet car was running and the girls I knew at Hooters talked me into going) and a NASCAR race....and not into Green Day....but they got my attention with Rock and Roll All Nite.....I love live music

I was too close to the jet car when it took off.....it was louder than anything I'd been around.....I was convinced my ears were bleeding, hair was on fire and my clothes were gone

This was the first time I got to attend an F1 race. Was able to get my dad and I tickets for the Turn 19 grandstands. I also purchased parking at the same place as you. I would say overall things were great. It’s sad that the place is no longer going to do parking for future F1 races. I’m not gonna be able to attend this years go at COTA but I’m hoping to go next year.
