Former student of UNLV gunman recalls his teaching as 'odd' and 'quirky,' 'talked about Vegas'

KTNV's Jaewon Jung talked to a former student of the UNLV gunman when he taught at East Carolina University. Michelle Wade says it's "shocking, but he definitely had some issues." For full coverage of the UNLV shooting, we listed everything we know at ktnv.com/unlvshooting.

What did he do that seemed like the outcome was always the same? He knew exactly what he was doing and what the outcome would be so “insanity” isn’t the word to describe him. His financial struggles and rejected applications are what likely took him over the edge and at his age he simply gave up and went out knowing he would be captured or killed. Sometimes the answer is right in front of people’s faces but they are too fixed on entertainment and expecting it to be something more dramatic

All these students are attention seekers, from news anchors to the students. They all describe a regular person but want to paint him as if they all knew something was off? A big lie with smoke and mirrors. Who doesn’t talk about Vegas? Why do all these people after the matter act like they know he was upto something bad? There’s no possible way to read anyone’s mind. The cops talking about a white substance is the key factor as to trying to find a reason that doesn’t exist in his character, he’s a 67, year old with a lifetime of experience and knowledge. The baby powder is just fragrance, it’s obvious there wasn’t a hazmat hazardous crew in his apartment because someone collapsed during search of those envelopes. Las Vegas discriminates anyone with a past the first thing they brought up was his “computer trespassing “ a 32, year old misdemeanor it’s not even a violent crime. The man was desperate to survive he was discriminated and took revenge. All these students grown adults are all acting like toddlers calling dad to say if I don’t come home? Are you serious? You were not the target stop acting like someone ran after you and tried hurting you. Society today wants to be who they obviously aren’t. Attention seeking media type mentality. “I survived a fake massacre “ this was revenge on school staff not students.

Dear Alex Zabala 2154: The Spanish-speaking people in the U.S., etc., work hard -- but *something is missing* with them: nothing to do with the language but head-to-body coordination, space perception, movements and instincts. For example, At the supermarkets and large stores, they will: sweep you with their brooms, bump you with their boxes, buff you with their buffers and wheal you with their wheelbarrows.

Elon Musk, Isaac Newton, Bill Gates, Einstein, Nikola Tesla, Van Gogh, Bobby Fischer all exhibited qualities that the majority of fake pretentious cowards who wouldn't dare risk being their true selves for 1 day all considered weird. Not one of them became a mass murderer. Yet, each of them left an impact on this world that none of the sheep could ever duplicate. Each person I mentioned was suspected of being Neurodivergent. While most people waste their lives conditioning themselves to be the perfect replica of the next person, the people I mentioned before put all their time and effort into being the most authentic and best version of THEMSELVES that they could be.

So everyone who sees someone who is different as a potential killer needs to take a long, hard look in the mirror. Maybe the fact that we're so quick to judge and condemn anything that doesn't fit our pathetic little boxes is the ver reason things like this continue to happen. I myself am Neurodivergent and I ironically am the one who has been targeted with violence my whole life by the very people who are supposed to be the "normal" ones.
