Former speaker of the House thinks an early election is ‘most likely’
Former speaker of the House Bronwyn Bishop discusses the likelihood of Prime Minister Anthony Albanese calling an early election.
“I still think an early election is quite likely, most likely,” Ms Bishop told Sky News host Paul Murray.
“If there is an increase in August, then it’s quite likely there will be another one as well - he could go on the 7th of September, he could go on the 7th of December.
“The really interesting thing is that if there is no interest rate rise in August, then it makes going early even more attractive.”

Call the election Albo this is as popular as you're ever going to be, it's all downhill from here. The next rate rise will spell the end for Labor, not that there hasn't been numerous failures already to warrant voting Labor (and more specifically Albo) out
If rate rises haven’t touched inflation to this point, why do they continue to rise when they are not the only means of reduction??!
Its possible Bob katter may guarantee supply for the Labour but it is unlikely , however labour is going to need more than just Katter . labour will need the 6 teels and the Greens to form a minority Government . Labour will be down at least 10 seats , at least . just in WA and Queensland . Coalition may be close to 70 seats , and will need katter and a few others , but i don't think the Coalition will have enough . I cant see the Teals supporting the Coalition to form government .

We need an early election, no one’s happy and also doing a Campaign would upset people in regards to cost of living. We need a party that is for Australians that has had an everyday job like the everyday person who gets it. PM one nation
