Former QB calls Jordan Love "absolute monster," DOMINATING offseason, Packers fans in Heaven | PFS

Спорт

Paul Farrington, Jack Weinberger, and Robert "Ziggy" Ziegler discuss Chase Daniels' comments on Jordan Love being an "absolute monster" and locked in more than anyone he's ever seen outside of maybe Drew Brees. The guys debate if they're buying the Love hype heading into the 2024 NFL season and discuss how they would feel right now if they were Packers fans.

People can say what they will about Aaron Rogers, but Jordan Love watching Roger's meticulous practice workout preparations for three years imparted on Love how hard one must work to be an elite quarterback in the NFL. You can't argue with success and Love's desire and determination on developing even further professionally by his offseason work ethic will make him a force to be reckoned with come the regular season.

Boiling down a safety to "a few big plays a year," is...a bad take. I don't need highlight plays, I need consistent plays. I need a guy who can come and fill, who can cover up for blown coverage, who has great range. Kamren Curl is probably the best signing of the off-season, but he got 2 years ~9M. That's...absolutely insane. Curl is wildly underrated.

I've always felt that since the Vikings joined the NFL as an expansion team, Vikings fans have, for the most part, been "fare weather" fans. Many are get on and off the wagon, depending how the team is doing. But not you boys. You can be proud of the tenacity you have to remain die-hard fans, win or lose. Aside from Jordan Love, every other teams' fans have to be even more sick about the Packers having nailed picks like the WRs (Doubs/Wicks as #3 & #4 and could start on most other teams) along with what looks like future HOF Tight Ends in Luke Musgrave and Tucker Kraft. The Packers look absolutely monsterous in multiple positions for years to come. If the Packers manage to trade up for Cooper DeJean and complete that Secondary, OMG, the other teams in the division are going to cry even harder. The Packers front office is beginning to show that they are likely the best in the league right now and are in sync with the coaching staff and the systems being run. Don't sleep on what the Packers do in this draft. I think the draft is where the Packers are the most deadly. They seem to be on one hell of a roll the last two years in their selections.

Of course, it’s great to hear that your quarterback is focused rather than seeking LSD trips. all packer fans are excited about the potential, but it’s still just potential. There is no actual long-term track record. Love had some very bad games early last year, then he played OK and then he did have a stretch where he played amazing. Which of those will it be in the next year? No one really knows. There’s a lot of quarterbacks that have had a 5-7 game stretch where they’re amazing and then can’t maintain it. If Love can be consistently good next year for the whole year and the Packers do well and make the playoffs and are serious contenders then I think you can say you got a guy….

@@HuChing-ob4kk Did I or did I not already say career totals are BS if you have a QB that was top 10 in number of games played? Besides, having a lot of 4th quarter comeback just means he was playing from behind in the 4th quarter far too often. Like the year he had 5 come back wins in a 9-7 season. That means they played from behind in the 4th quarter 12 times and only came back 5 times. Which is pretty much average. The average team has slightly less than 50% success rate at comebacks. If the Giants hadn’t been losing so much in the 4th quarter, Eli’s average success rate would be unremarkable. So, long career of playing from behind a lot gave Eli a lot of opportunities for a comeback. Besides, comebacks are a team stat. The D also has to get stops and the ST has to hold up or the offense scoring doesn’t matter. If you have to compare a QB to one that played 40 years ago, when the passer rating was 20 points lower, to make him look good, he sucks. Actually, I never played Madden. I learned about football in the ‘70s watching guys like Kenny Anderson and Fran Tarkenton. I remember watching Walter Payton’s rookie season and thinking, why cant we tackle this guy.

@@ihcterra4625 We arent talking about "career totals" we are talking about RESULTS..>Eli Mannings RESULTS are what makes him above average... so you wouldve had Dak Prescott playing the PAtriots in those Super Bowls and having those outstanding playoff performances?!/ Eli Manning is one of those QBs who is made for the playoffs...which is why I used Jim Plunkett as an example...unlesss you dont even know who that is.. either way Eli Manning is NOT below average..and the RESULTS prove it

Yeah, but I don’t like Brian the coach just cause they didn’t make the playoffs. I think they got rid of them now where they gonna get their quarterback.❤❤

Don't forget the packers just fired their equivalent of Ed donatell. If they improve defensively as much as the vikings did this division is locked up

Gotta take your " Vik-queens" fan boy glasses off... 😂🤣😂🤣 Love does give our Packers a REAL chance at 3 in 5 years. What it should have been with Rodgers... BUUT, Rodgers is a complete individual, that didn't care about the team. Only, the individual, just like he's boy Adams.... Do you guys remember what Adams said last year about "He's not worried about wins he's worried about his HOF status (when he wasn't getting enough looks)??!! That says it all!!!! I'M' sorry but HOF'ers are forgotten. Lombardi, Montana, Brady, and many more aren't JS!!!! For me that "answers" SOOOO many questions about why Rodgers only has 1!! Smdh... Individuals will never succeed in a team sport. Especially on great teams!!!!! It makes me SO sad as a Packers fan... BUT at the same time gives me SO much hope, Loves Packers are going to be closer to Bradys Patriots... Which is bad news for this channel 🤣😂🤣😂 Keep up the hard work Gents!! I'm a true fan of this content!! Seriously

I grew up in L.A. ...L.Afans cant STAND Caleb Williamns or the new USC Coach...Caleb Williams is a fraud...I could end up being wrong and maybe he is only made for the NFL...but his competitive character is WEAK...and he plays his worse games verses GOOD competition. People shouldt let ESPN hype choose their draft picks

Hey guys, hate to do this but i'm sure all that matters are views. I have to unsubscribe at this point. Your show was one of my favorite until it literally became a Packer channel. Maybe will check in down the road when you decide to back off on the Packers and the clicks. If not, good luck in all you do. It was fun! Peace!

Hey Karl - Thanks for helping us get our feet off the ground. We’re sorry you’re fed up with the content. Since GB is by far our biggest audience we have to package around them to help get full episodes out to other fan bases in the algorithm. We then try to do one or two packer breakouts during the week to continue to build that audience. We don’t necessarily think our full episode content leans that heavily toward GB (other than some mailbags for now), so are sad to see you go. Definitely one of our favorites throughout the process! Regardless, appreciate you tuning in all the time and commenting, it meant a lot to us! Hope to see you soon

I feel like they're a NFC North podcast like the 10 minute segments they give to the Packers isn't that big a deal as all the teams get a spotlight in the podcast

Hey, don’t jump out, man! I’m a Packer fan and enjoy watching the content. All 3 guys are likeable personalities, and you can’t blame them for building their base. There is a good-natured rivalry between Packers and Vikings fans, but we all come from 2 midwestern states with some of the nicest people in the country! Stay and have some fun, and help these guys succeed!!

Don't go, Karl. Don't let go. Aren't we all primarily NFL fans? Aren't a good number of us NFC North fans. If there was a battle among different divisions of the NFC, there's no better division that I'd want to join arms with the four NFC North fans. Don't go away Karl. This is a fun place to listen in.

C'mon Karl. Don't be a quitter. These guys are great and although they make a good amount of Packer content, they make lots of content on the other NFC N teams as well. Besides they chop up the segments so you can skip right over the Packer stuff! As a Packer fan I'd hate to see ya go. Keep checking in on the fellas and stay subscribed, it's free and don't have to click on the Packer vids if you don't want to.
