He seem to be of the view that without ANC South Africa won't be stable, a tactic which was used by Apartheid state too. Based on the corruption which has happened under Mbeki, amongst other presidents, South Africans do not need ANC, they need to be actively involve in making sure that they go vote and vote ANC out. I based this on Auditor General's reports for a period of 20 years which form part of the tenor in which Mbeki was a president. I am firmly believe that there won't be an Arab Spring in South Africa, as South Africans have been protesting in streets and in centers of higher learning; now the fight is heading for ballots. Remember the Arab spring was an explosion of an expression from suppressed people, ruled by dictators which is not the case in South Africa. There have been many untelevised protests in universities such as University of KZN, Western Cape, Cape Peninsula University of Tech and many other centers of learning. I can understand that what I am saying might not be what you want to hear. The reality that ANC might not be in government after 2024 is a nightmare many people who are dependent on the state today do not want to see happening.

RIP Jessie Duarte. We'll never really have politicians of the caliber of the anti-apartheid activists and revolutionaries we have seen rise through the ranks. The story of their impact will not be fully explored because the media itself doesn't really understand the work involved in reengineering the post-colonial reality. The story of all post-revolutionary nations shows that the caliber of politicians shifts very quickly to self-interest and perpetuating colonial logic. May we not fail her sacrifices and commitment.

You thought the private sector will take and fix eskom, look where we are. It is easy to break and point a finger than to take responsibility and fix. You planted this with bee policy.
And so on and so forth, and stuff like that.........
President Mbeki, will South Africa ever get to the state where you left it?
@gargoyles9999

No
You can't renew something that is rotten..all the old people must go..ANC needs new and fresh blood..
Vote Mbeki for President, and he should shuffle the cabinet
One comunist down, manny more to go none too soon
He still receives his presidential package every single month despite being rich why can he cut the long story short and give his benefits to the unemployed or give them away to address the poverty that has striken our people. Then we can take it from there if his intentions are to help not to point out the current administration shortfalls without providing solutions to them

@@akhonagala4581 bf phakoe doesn't have full information. just because he was president doesn't mean he must give away his benefits he worked for them anyways, issues that needs to be addressed are corruption, poverty, economic growth strategies not on paper but also implementation and inequality amongst sa citizens

Why don’t you go ask him than assuming what you saying above.. You don’t know if his giving his salary or pension to the poor masses of our country… Stop assuming do research point out facts then comment… TM is academic listening to his speech above one can see it’s killing him inside how this is destroying our country that we will now be fighting ourselves and Not the enemy from inside… Blacks will be fighting blacks on the streets of SA we doomed and that is a very very sad time to come for us as SAns😔😔

How do you know that he is rich? Remember these guys don’t have pension! They were busy fighting in exile, unemployed in their 20s and 30s. So unlike us who started working in the 20s and putting pensions away, they didn’t have that chance. So I would be surprised if he is rich. He is in pension. And no one must give away their pension as they don’t have means of any other income

The comrade is less informed indeed, do you think his package and benefits can address the problems of this country. I hope you are not leading any organization in the society, because woow.
Pity the only time people speak truth is when they're old and about to die. He had his fair share of destruction
Before he dies, uDlamini what is it that he has done for people of his home Eastern Cape particularly Dutywa?

I believe he has done something for his family there as he has for SA while he was a president. I understand though, I guess I would have expected him to prioritize his home town, which is unethical for the president of the country
If you want to rebuild destroy all the cracks and start afresh and hes telling the truth and they know that that why Paul Mashatile is sitting like that and even Baleka Mbethe they know clearly that bayabheda
can we re elect a pres?
Mnxim
Missing that kind of a truth in today's anc...julius malema and jacob zoomer destroyed it.
Mbeki is one guy in the ANC who might have wanted to get rid of corruption from within, he has teeth, unlike Ramaphosa who is all talk. He (Mbeki) tried to get rid of Zuma before more damage was done to our country.
When he spoke about being non racial organisation😥

This is a case of a wrong man speaking the right message. What is Mbeki's achievements during his tenure? What was the level of unemployment, crime, poverty and inequality during his tenure? Mbeki should locate his hand in the whole mess, his hands are also dirty.

Unfortunately most people who have shown unlimited appetite to amass wealth are tried and tested and were there before 1994
😂😂😂😂😂this is the man who set the wrong precedence. Why was he fired? South African have a problem of selective amnesia. He is the one who messed Zimbabwe in 2008.

The only solution right now is to reinstated Thabo Mbeki as president so that he can fix all the nonsense and damages that the current ANC has done. Till this is done or someone with the same integrity as Thabo Mbeki is put to lead this country - ANC will never see my vote.
Apologize for saying Ramaphosa is the best man for the job Mr President
