Former NASA Astronaut Explains How Food Is Different in Space | WIRED
Ғылым және технология
What's different about food in space? Former NASA astronaut Mike Massimino breaks down all the differences between eating on Earth and eating in space. Is astronaut ice cream REALLY a thing? Who decides what food is brought to space? Can you eat burgers in space? Why do astronauts use tortillas instead of bread?
Mike Massimino is a former NASA astronaut, senior advisor for space programs at the Intrepid Museum, and professor at Columbia University.

It´s because to be an average astronaut, having knowledge, courage and determination is common place for all of them. There is no "pay to win" for REAL astronauts, so in the end, it´s your behaviour in a close environment with people and attention to details like this that are going to define you as good astronaut.

So MUCH fun to watch this!!
This is such a cool channel. All the questions I wanted to ask, but no one to answer them-until now!
“I like Italian apparently.” - Massimino 😂 This guy is full of great deadpan quotes. Neat footage too. Love seeing the humorous nature of the space crew. That group tortilla juggling 😆 I guess earth rules of “Don’t play with your food” doesn’t apply above the stratosphere.

Love his sense of humor! I want to go into space with someone like that.
I like how he emphasizes the “ball” shape of the earth. Hes just like “come on flat-earthers, make my day.”
