Tara Estelle Adelizzi I know right, and the crazy thing too is how I literally had no clue thats what was happening at the time ya know, so months later to find out ‘Holy Shit THATS what that was?!’ was pretty shocking to be honest, mostly because I felt dumb for not realizing it sooner.. and yes also realizing how close I was to being sucked in or even just buying some of the crap they were shoving down my throat lol BUT thankfully that never did happen.. I think their annoying persistence actually had the opposite effect on me and made me NOT wanna give em my time or money, but many people are the exact opposite sadly and will fall prey to these tactics.. SO yea back to what u said, it WAS shocking to see who was part of all this since some of them were people in my own profession in the medical field, so please don’t take this the wrong way but these women were Not hard up for money or doing it as a ‘side hustle’ cuz they needed more of a paycheck, u know what I mean.. so this actually made me realize just how GOD AWFUL THESE MLM’s ARE EVEN MORE and how NO ONE IS IMMUNE TO THEM OR THEIR DIRTY TACTICS THAT THEY ALL USE, period!!! Not to mention how I also nearly lost my best friend of 12+ years from one evil bitch, and I mean EVIL, they KNOW just how to put a wedge between friends if they sense one isn’t gonna budge ya know, ughhh SO fucking EVIL and THIS is something that SERIOUSLY needs to also be put out there so everyone knows what signs to look for etc!!! (Sorry this turned into such a long rant lol)

LolaGeek, i have a request for a video that i think you are uniquely qualified for, with your exceptiinal organizational skills. Could you please do a video with some kind of number breakdown talking about what one may earned vs. how many hours you put in. So many women are really attracted to these companies because they really, really need the money to support their families. But it seems companies do not really outline how many hours you really have to work. Yours is the first video i think i have heard talking about how much time it takes to do things like pop-ups, inventory management, taking pictures, doing social media, actually prepping and mailing packages, etc. No one gives a true accounting of the actual number of hours, from beginning to end, vs. Income. While i know there are a lot of intangibles you can't put a price on (enjoying working in fashion, some of the social aspects some people might really enjoy, etc), for the women out there who really need every $ to feed their family, someone needs to lay it out in hard numbers if they might be better off working at someplace like Lowe's for $12/hr. I think ot would be a real benefit to so many to see a video like that :)

Thank you so much for your compliments and great suggestion! I don't think my experience is typical, nor is it a good example of a worst case scenario, because I have an actual full-time job that I enjoy, was never planning on leaving, and is what allowed me to pursue these other "fun" side businesses. But I can certainly share my personal experience!

wonderful to hear that you kept your head, while selling. No one should be blamed for "falling" for one of these MLMs. I've been close many times but know, I wouldn't be able to be organized enough to do a side job on top of my regular job. Extra money is nice, but I really loved my regular job and was afraid that job would suffer if I took on one of these other jobs! I was a few times sad I couldn't join such a "fun group" or supportive people, but I knew I was not up to juggling two jobs and a family!

May I ask something that is in no way intended to insult you or put you on any sort of spotlight? Are you now broke? And if so, Will you (in any way) be able to make up the money you have invested that will not return to you? The whole lularoe thing is just heart breaking to me. Back in the 90's when my kids were little, I did Princess House for about a month as a p.t gig. I quit just because I didn't feel the need of others for purchasing "crystal" and hauling suitcases full of stuff was not my thing. I regret that 20 years later 🧐

  • @LolaGeek

LOL! No, I'm not broke, I have a good job and never went into debt or spent more money than I had. I was also pretty low key with my business and just kept to the bare minimum of inventory and supplies, instead of renovating my house into a "LuLaRoom" or whatever. All said and done, I did come out a little ahead after going out of business, though that doesn't really cover the intangibles (time and effort) I put in. But I know I am very lucky compared to many other former consultants.

I think two reasons: 1) When the company started, products were primarily sold in person (we had to kind of skirt the rules to sell online), so photos weren't necessary. 2) By the time online sales were taking off, there were so many possible combinations of style/size/print LLR probably had no way to keep track and have a stock photo of each. Also pattern placement could vary, so you really did need photos of specific items in many cases.

I personally think it’s complete and utter BS how it seems that almost every Lularoe consultant is pushed to spend/spend/spend ...to change who they were prior to selling the product. Especially the higher ups, if you will. It’s so blatantly obvious that it’s a cycle, a blueprint if you will how their teeth begin to look upscaled ..., & then the weight loss, the hair dying /extensions, the tans, either spray or tanning beds. Which I used to tan quite addictively when I was in my late teens/early 20’s. I’d go very often and it alone wasn’t cheap, along with an occasional spray tan. That was yrs ago! Also the bleaching of teeth & getting hair done often. I personally know the upkeep on those two is not too expensive, (I was lucky enough because my mom is a licensed Cosmetologist, so I always had my hair done free) And my teeth bleaching was done free because I went to school for the dental field & worked in it for 13yrs. So I basically got that done for free, but paid just 50$ for my bleaching trays to the lab, until I did my own lab work when I got more skilled. But a patient paying for me to make trays, and bleach their teeth would cost upwards to 250-400$!!? I have a question mark because I quit working in that field a few yrs back, due to back/neck issues. So the price may have gone up. Sorry 😐 I am writing a book. I’m just piecing together a few of the cosmetic things I’ve heard about this company pushing on women to do. It’s literally sickening. So just the hair, tanning, teeth whitening by themselves would be very expensive as an upkeep. Those things along with always having to buy more clothes 🤦🏼‍♀️! Js ~ I think you are beautiful btw. And I’ve seen too many women literally talk, look, act, so different than who they really are. They legit #SoldOut & their soul for this company ..& other mlm’s as well. So obvi that you are still you, & that is refreshing. 💜✌🏻

@LolaGeek Btw your outfit choices that you showed us looked just fine. You definitely didn’t pick any of those squirrelly patterns. 🤣 You actually put outfits together really well! 🌹✌🏻

You should probably look more into the company and the MLM model in general.

Lularoe is probably the most ridiculous and worst pyramid scam of all time. Tupperware and Mary kay the most under the radar. Can't tell you how bad I was sucked in, glamorous get togethers, beauty pageants ( I won). Mary Kay . These scams were horrific. Meri Brown is perfect target, fundamental, single Mom cash strapped. Do hope with the awful publicity she has distanced herself. Looking for to more vids.,

@@awnutz It was a buy in scam too Overly priced couldn't sell. Left with lots of inventory just like LLR, Monat, and lots of others. They say that Shannon Watts house and garage had loads of vitamin patches and protein powder shakes.
