My father CSM Raymond D Burbank, was among the first Green Berets, joining in 1962.He served with the 10th, 7th, 5th, and 3rd Special Forces.He is buried at Ft Campbell Ky, 101st Airborne. He is my hero, and I miss him everyday .

Kevin Owens is an awesome addition to FS! He’s a natural teacher, and he obviously loves doing it.

I just subscribed. I tried to join the Army when I was 20 (1981) with the goal of becoming a Green Beret,but because of physical problem's I was turned down.I am now disabled and living on social security disability so when I watch these video's I can't help but think what could have been.I was also turned down by the Detroit Police for the same reason. Mentally I think I had what it take's to be a Green Beret, even my doctor's can't believe that I can push myself to keep walking without a walker or cane's.God Bless you guy's for your service and what you continue to do .Thank You

It's awesome how Mike and The Instructors get straight to the point without all the fluff and EGO B.S. Every one of these videos gives me something to take and build on. Thanks again Mike Glover and Fieldcraft .

As an instructor, it's always a privilege to have the opportunity to train and instruct switched on professionals who want to be there and are willing to soak up excellent subject matter knowledge from their instructors. I had the opportunity to train a certain middle eastern ally's SOF. Let me tell you, it was the polar opposite of this. It was like trying to herd cats. It made the job very frustrating and not enjoyable, unlike what this range day looked like. Great video.

Damn I love the way you guys explain everything and make it seem so much easier than it really is, Thanks for what you do and cant wait to see yall in SC at the Sawmill, really looking forward to learning alot

Mr Glover, this is really solid advice. Thank you and to Mr Owens for sharing. His methods on securing oneself onto the environment changed my perspective.

After living in other states it really makes me appreciate where i loved and grew up in NH glad you are enjoying it. Good luck to ya hopefully i can get my family back up there in next few years.

@@mortemtyrannis7468 ran out of hours delivering in boston parked by the tracks and shut down. While I was eating dinner a pack of coy dogs was going up the tracks. Glad I was inside my truck and said a prayer for the homeless passed out in the path of those dogs.

Mike, you remind me so much of my old platoon Sgt, he was a great no-nonsense dude didn't care about stupid stuff just the outcome. If you didn't do it by the book but it got the desired result that's all that mattered. Hope to come train with you soon!

Interesting. Thank you for having a KZread channel! I attended a defensive pistol class that included positional shooting, but it was a basic 101 class so didn’t get into shooting through position changes. It’s something new I just learned by watching your channel. Thank you.

Great video as always. I always learn something watching. You guys do a great job explaining.

My “mountain climbers” consist of variations of this in my house with a mag full of dummy rounds for some sort of weight familiarity. Obviously I’m not cracking off rounds in my basement so I’m missing out on the shooting aspect but the movement mechanics I’m able to keep sharp. Anyways, love the videos and the podcast. Thanks for all the killer content.

Everyone focuses on shooting tactics but nobody really ever covers what to do if your weapon DOESN'T shoot. Would love to see more weapon malfunction training vids. Anyway, enough ranting, this was a pretty awesome vid. Thanks forr sharing..

These trainee guys had been experienced a valuable training course through the honorable soldiers on the training field in the video. SF, the Green Berets is my first favorite army organization in the US military and they suggested this nice video for KZread users. Nice video and nice drill SGT for sharpshooting.

Cool. I like that solid, stable, durable mantra. Once you start thinking about it when shooting. Not even this kind of shooting- Defensive or offensive. Just me on the range having fun with my AR you start to think that -solid, stable, durable. Wish I could come to a course. Few more years 😥😢

Kevin's comment about the 20 round magazine is spot-on. The 20's shorter profile allows the rifle more flexibility in finding that stable position from an awkward shooting location. Even the 10 round mag has a place especially for a swat member whose round count in an engagement is typically low, in the single digits even.

As a rifle instructor, the basic shooting positions, standing, kneeling, sitting, prone add on supported, cover, etc.

Things must have changed a bit. Decades ago in my Infantry days the technique was to hold the top of the butt stock in your right, or dominant, hand to use the rifle as a way to "break" your fall as you settle into the prone position. Now many people hold the pistol grip with dominant hand and use the non dominant hand to brace yourself as you land in the prone. Just an Infantry ground pounder, 11C. No 18x codes in my DA-201 file.

From watching your bug out videos to this Mann you and John Lovell doesn’t make it tactically difficult y’all make it simple for the average person

Thank you for posting this! I just want to double-check to make sure I understand this, when getting into a firing position, you showed holding the gun at the barrel, with the rest ice your hand coming to the stock. I have left hemiplegia, so, my left arm/hand has limited range of motion. Would that be a safe enough point t to hold the gun, as opposed to the stock resting in my left hand?

The only thing I ask from SWAT cops is KEEP YOUR FITNESS, I got a chance to hang out with my cousin a few weeks ago, he’s a SWAT guy and some of his team mates were looking a little soft, I don’t get it when a couple of them were single with no kids, they have all the time in the world to stay right year round. I can’t imagine seeing guys look bad like that in relation to the job they are charged with carrying out. Shooting is good but damn, stay tight too.

13:00 in. Should I lean alittle forward in to my rifle so that the stock is flat with and in “the pocket” of my shoulder? Also, fight stance is how I position my legs while shooting. Is this wrong to do? Sorry, Im a newb to the Armalite Rifle
