Rocky just put out an OST and mv called "Over that" from his most recent show called "Broke Rookie" by PH Originals (which is on YT). That is his most recent (free-style) dance work. My favorite part of that mv is that part of his dance is in the rain! Right now, he is in the middle of a come back with his group Astro and immediately following they will begin a tour. The song 'Ice Flower' that you watched in this video was the first mv that he was allowed (by his company) to do with complete freedom. He designed the dance along with help from his fan base, Aroha, working out ideas with us over virtual chats. Then he did all the choreo, costume ideas, worked with the entire crew, etc. etc. (there is also a video on the process) himself. We are very proud of him.

Whee. All Rocky, all the time. Of course we'd love to see a revisit of his covers (Bicycle, Close to Me, Keep Up, Criminal) as well as one of the compilations of his freestyle stuff. I really hate that we haven't been getting that content from him in the last few years, but you know, the man's been BIZAY being emcee, lead singer, lead dancer, choreographer, idol, actor... as you do. I still maintain he's got the largest dance style vocabulary going. I've never seen him attempt a style he couldn't both make his own and make look effortless. Love him to pieces. Thank you for reacting to Rocky! I've been a kpop fan for years and before I learn about Rocky, I just think of dance as a form of art but once I saw him dancing, I understand WHY dancing is a form of art. I can't describe it but it's just the way his body, expression, outfit and everything were as if dancing along with him that makes the whole thing a thousand times more beautiful. Although I love all of his dance type, I personally like more of his fluid dance that show his flexibility and elegance(?), I'd recommend some of these:

Rocky started dancing when he was...four? So when he auditioned for the company he had a lot of foundational skills already, and they built on that with their training (the guy sort of dancing along in the background of the first video was the choreographer who was training Rocky pre-debut). He has some cool covers and short original choreo pieces in his Y.Y.Y series. But also I would be super interested in some of your awesome dancer friends reacting to the old series Dance War, where Rocky and seven other K-pop dancers compete anonymously.

I highly doubt Freud said that, because “shaping” someone is about behaviorism inspired by one’s environment. (Freud focused on the human psyche and ego.) But I’ll have to google who said it…
