I was born in 1960 and I don’t want to go back, I remember Vietnam Nam on television every night, the gas crises, double digit inflation, horrible pollution, people seem to have selective memory, everything wasn’t puppies and rainbows. The only reason I would like to go back is I would be younger and farther from the end of my life.

As someone born in 1953, I remember all of them. Burger Chef was my favorite. In my early teens, my family lived about 1/4 mile from Willow Grove Park in Pennsylvania and there was a Burger Chef right across the street from the park. I downed many a Super Shef (sic) sandwich there. Good memories.

As a young girl living in Greensburg, PA, we had a Burger Chef. I absolutely loved that restaurant!
I sure miss those Restaurants
I loved Arthur Treachers fish and chips!
Arthur Treacher's was our favorite place back in the day. That was where we would stop and eat supper whenever Mom picked Dad up from work on payday. I miss it so much!
Burger Chef and his sidekick Jeff, who always ended the commercials by saying, "Burger Chef, you're incrediburgable!"
Burger Chef was awesome. Serving the burger in plastic bags made the burgers nice and steamed. SOOOO tasty.
long john silvers and captain d tried to replace arthur treachers, but it didnt work, the malt vinegar was the icing on the cake.
Steak and Ale was so good. Great memories.

Steak & Ale was so dark and relaxing….here in Houston…when it was 100 degrees outside…it was sooo nice to enter into that cool restaurant. Food was very good.
I loved Arthur Treacher's. It was about two blocks from my house in the 1980's, and I'd get off at the bus stop in front of it to go for an inexpensive meal between coming home from college and going to work 2nd shift. When they closed, Long John Silvers was similar, but not the same. Now, even those are few and far between

We had an Arthur Treacher's near us. The fish and chips were great. The malt vinegar was good too. Howard Johnson's had good chocolate milk. Shakey's was good.
Great restaurants all of them.
Aww…Sizzler…LA native here, and that place was the best!
Yes, wish they were still around=, fish and chips.
I remember & loved most of these. Here’s another one. Taco Tico. Fresh pepper sauce made daily. Burger Chef would load on a mound of shredded lettuce.
I loved Burger Chef!
The Arthur Treachers in Ohio WAS in Austintown. I had eaten there for 50 years. It was sold to the employees a few years back, and the taste and quality remain.

My wife worked at the one in Moline, IL., around 1977. A Chinese restaurant took over the building around 1981.
I don't like fish but loved the fish and chips at Arthur Treachers
I worked at Arthur Teachers for about 6 months in the mid 70s. I had burns up and down both arms almost the whole time. I worked there back when Catholics weren't allowed to eat meat on ANY Friday, not just Lent and Advent. There was always a line out the door on Fridays. Lived in a super- majority Catholic town.

Same. We used to eat frozen breaded shrimp every Friday. Nasty stuff. Went parochial school.
I miss sreak and ale , Quincy steakhouse , Western sizzling steakhouse house, Dodges chicken that was open late at night. The Steeple Drive in that sold the best burgers, hot dogs , milkshakes etc. The Varsity restaurant sold probably the best burgers, fries hot dogs and other things on the menu. All of these places were here in South Carolina but i truly miss the grocery store in A&P , Winn Dixie, Community Cash , Cash & Carry etc . Man those were the good ole days

Yes it is remarkable to see some of those old restaurants still in the Philippines. It’s more fun in the Philippines!
St. Louis had them all. I loved every one of them. Way back when eating out was affordable. Ponderosa 16 oz T bones for $2.60. Shakeys is my all time favorite pizza.
I sure miss Arthur Treacher's!!! There was one at Fairfax Circle that vanished around 2010!
I miss the Red Barn.. Moved to Columbus Indiana in 1975, was 6 years old. There was a Red Barn two blocks from our new home, was the closest fast food place, heck, one of the few fast food places in Columbus, was a treat to go there on Friday night. After they went out of business it was turned into an oil and lube shop, which I think is still there.
I lived in a small town in West Virginia and fondly remember eating at Burger Chef and Bonanza. Yum! These were so popular in our town. What a treat to eat out then! 😊
I remember a lot of these restaurants and I really like them. The funniest thing is, too long ago. I saw another KZread video that featured most of the same restaurants. except the title of that video was the worst restaurants that were that we are glad that are gone forever! So I guess it all depends on your point of you, but I definitely think yours is better cause I like these restaurants
I remember when Arthur treachers opened in Rochester ny.they gave free double deck bus tours for their grand opening.good memories.
The only two I can remember in this video is Burger Chef and Sizzler. Either one was top notch. I really miss them both

My dad was a manager of Rhotons restaurant, they had 8 locations in the Cleveland Ohio area back in the 60's- 70's. The signature burger was called the 49er " the big burger".
Arthur Treacher danced with Shirley Temple and also played in two episodes of The Beverly Hillbillies. A great talent.
Sizzlers in Galveston TX. in the 1980's, affordable!
I was a little kid when we had a Sizzler here. I remember the Malibu Chicken with the honey mustard dip-fantastic
My Mom & I used to go to Sizzler's in Ventura, Ca. every wk. I loved their food. Very nice memories. (Also Arthur Treacher's sounds great; too bad they closed.)
I miss the Big Boy coffee shops. I’ve been told that there is still A Bobs Big Boy in LA. But there are none left where I live. Growing up in IL we had Marc’s Big Boy. Later moving to PHX AZ there was Bobs Big Boy. Also miss Farrell’s.

There was at one time a peach, and, strawberry and, several other flavors of those short cakes, at Frisch’s Big Boy but, now there’s only chocolate but, they still have strawberry 🍓 pie babies and, strawberry cheese cake! In the South East it’s known as Frisch’s which they are starting to go out of business as well but, there is one by where, I live is up and, running and, it though has went down hill badly! Last time, I was in there, a elderly gentleman told them his sandwich wasn’t cooked right, the waitress told him, she’d bring him out another one, well, he just up and, left! Then, on top of my burger not being cooked right, my onion rings were all burnt and, I had to wait on my bus a while so, they went and, got me another order and, sure enough it was just as bad as the first meal. After that, I haven’t been back, it’s pretty pathetic that they hired a young guy that told them he could cook and, they took his word for it, he couldn’t even get a frozen meat patty cooked all the way through and, he wasn’t able to cook half of the food that the waitresses had to serve to their customers!
Pretty good AI narration. Not perfect, but not bad.
