The compass is quite useful for search and rescue missions or any other flight to be real because its really hard to tell what direction you are going on the map since your player marker only moves very slightly

2:35: Still use this! Really useful if you are playing realistic without world markers or with extreme fog. Best if used with map to navigate. Easiest is to use it for GR (180 degrees for 18R and 18L)

@@PhinnyMc123 It's a rare occasion on public servers, but you can adjust the intensity on private servers.

I use compass almost always, I use it to see my flying direction particularly, I use it to check runway directions at airports I don't remember that well, compass might be a feature forgotten and underrated by masses but I really use it often.

2:35 i still use it for radar vectors from atc when im having an issue im always like Flight flight number Req radar vectors to final at airport name

i still use some of this features except hangars, traildragerrs, mod panel, sea bases and i disable the compass everytime lol it is so useless great video

on the oil rig i remember when you had to jump from the top to the bottom, there were no stairs.

Fun fact: I have ditched my planes 10 times and it was because of fuel I use planes so much without re fuelling that I ditch on final. IT IS ALWAYS THAT LAKE CLOSE TO GR. I always get mad at myself for never refueling

i still use lock plane feature when someone annoys me or just wanna do single rp

whats really forgotten is the waterloo named trick where you could land planes at land under the water in gr before ditching implementation so you didnt die

compass is actually proffesionally called heading btw but i think the su27 is a dead plane

Something wrong is here: Ditching gets used as i joined many times public servers. I have seen a lot of people ditching and self-rping.

I still use the bell 412 in the search and rescue livery

The helicopter u said was barely getting used I use that helicopter a lot when I play ptfs

90% of the ptfs playerbase dont even use that helicopter on a weekly basis

So that's how you unlock lock plane I was looking for that

the most forgotten item is the boat (its a gamepads but I never saw anyone use it tho)

most people ditch in the water ONLY if there is coast guard

The compass is not forgotten, it is literally the most essential instrument (and really the only, other than the map) that can be used for proper IFR.

yet again, there's a very big difference between ATC24 users & non-ATC24 users. if you're playing casually then 9/10 you don't use the compass. (not in ATC24 servers) if you use it all the time then i can guarantee you that most ordinary ptfs players rarely (or dont) use the compass.

I use the Bell 412 for vietnam war RPs and coast guard

As an ATC24 player and ATC, you're required to know how to view the compass, it is a very important tool within the RP.

The Compass is used by many people mostly in ATC24

atc24 is a small playerbase compared to the non atc24 players

The compass is widely used still with ptfs airlines and atc24 when given vectors.

It’s a good video though like the oil rig which I’ve never seen anyone use, another one not mentioned are sea planes, haven’t seen anyone use them since they released

I use it for approaches to ares where i know the terrain for the approach but i lack visibility so i use the compass until i see the runway lights

there are many many reasons why the video isnt titled "Unused PTFS Features", firstly the engagement wont be as high as the current title, secondly there isnt a really big difference between unused and forgotten, thirdly you do realise many people actually forgot about these features
