Thank you for these photographs. My Dad played for the three B’s in Barnet Lane in the late 1940’s He went on to be Trainer and Physio for Barnet Club in the 1960. My grandparents lived at 20 Barnet Lane which was behind the stand. Great memories seeing these photographs.

Great to see pictures of where Barnet are playing now. I do enjoy these films and the inclusion of the new grounds really helps round up the story nicely.

Great video ... spent many a happy time at Underhill first season was 1968/69 also made life long friends there too ... so sad we had to leave there as it had so much history and character that the Hive has yet to show. The Hive has much more advantages built into it from many aspects ... a FLAT pitch there's a novelty ... there is now talk of a possible move back to Barnet in the future only hope it comes off ... what a turnaround that would be ... "Barnet's coming HOME" Thanks for posting.

@@historyoffootball87 Hi ... Well there has always been a "back to Barnet" campaign ever since we left Underhill ... weather this comes to be only time will tell ... price of obtaining a big enough plot of land and getting planning permission is a major hurdle let alone the build cost. There are a couple of video's on YT about this ... I can only hope that it will come true even within the borough of Barnet would be good even better in Barnet its self. Really enjoyed your video ... thanks.

I'll be the first to admit The Memorial Stadium's ramshackle, but Underhill took it to another level - including a very pronounced uneven slope in the pitch. First time I went there I was on the covered terrace and could hardly see; next and last time we were on uncovered seating where they later built a new covered stand (not the tented end). Although The Hive is one of the identikit new stadia I don't usually approve of, it's certainly better for watching football. We've been there twice; first time we were on a covered terrace but next time this had been replaced by a larger seated stand - however I've stood on the terrace again twice. They sold it to Exeter City and it now graces the away end at St. James's Park! Up The Gas!

I liked the look of Underhill although the Hive Stadium looks pretty good as well.
