Naginata were originally used by the samurai class of feudal Japan, as well as by ashigaru (foot soldiers) and sōhei (warrior monks). The naginata is the iconic weapon of the onna-bugeisha, a type of female warrior belonging to the Japanese nobility.
Naginata for fighting men and warrior monks were ō-naginata. The kind used by women was called ko-naginata.

The amount of intricacy and care that goes into making this... You could've had such an easier time by even skipping a few steps and going cheap on some of the parts, but you took the time to give every part your 100% effort. This is truly exceptional and you are an absolute master at your art. If I could subscribe ten thousand times I totally would. You deserve it. I pray that you keep up the amazing work in this job that you are so evidently passionate about. You deserve every bit of praise that you receive. God has truly blessed you with an amazing talent.

Hoping someday soon i can start forging things myself so i can eventually forge myself a full set of japanese blades including a katana, tachi and tanto to name just a few 😅

Nice job, but if you ever have an inkling to build another one, the handle shaft on traditional Naginata were oblique, so that the wielder can easily index the blade edge. Round shafts were used on Yari only, because they were a mere stabbing weapon, and blade indexing wasn't necessary!
