Thanks for giving 16:58 minutes of your worthy time.
Details:
The naginata (なぎなた, 薙刀) is a pole weapon and one of several varieties of traditionally made Japanese blades (nihontō). Naginata were originally used by the samurai class of feudal Japan, as well as by ashigaru (foot soldiers) and sōhei (warrior monks). The naginata is the iconic weapon of the onna-bugeisha, a type of female warrior belonging to the Japanese nobility.
Naginata for fighting men and warrior monks were ō-naginata. The kind used by women was called ko-naginata.

The connections on that handle are amazing. The fact that you machined every aspect if it and it came out so precise is outstanding
The amount of intricacy and care that goes into making this... You could've had such an easier time by even skipping a few steps and going cheap on some of the parts, but you took the time to give every part your 100% effort. This is truly exceptional and you are an absolute master at your art. If I could subscribe ten thousand times I totally would. You deserve it. I pray that you keep up the amazing work in this job that you are so evidently passionate about. You deserve every bit of praise that you receive. God has truly blessed you with an amazing talent.

Beautiful naginata.. I honestly would love to start forging but currently i spend too much of the daytime working on cars and at night i watch videos before i crash out haha.. Hoping someday soon i can start forging things myself so i can eventually forge myself a full set of japanese blades including a katana, tachi and tanto to name just a few 😅

A thing of beauty, and rather relaxing to watch it being made. Thank you for sharing your craft.
Nice job, but if you ever have an inkling to build another one, the handle shaft on traditional Naginata were oblique, so that the wielder can easily index the blade edge. Round shafts were used on Yari only, because they were a mere stabbing weapon, and blade indexing wasn't necessary!

This is why in the cutting demonstrations he wasn’t able to cut cleanly, if at all. He basically bludgeoned the coke bottles with the side of the blade because the alignment was off, because of the round handle

My friend, I made this sword completely, and it is 95% similar to the one I made, but I did not find in the wood market the good kind of wood, so I broke the hand twice and re-made the hand, but it was broken for the third time, so I made it for the last time and I did not use the sword and I displayed it in my room so as not to His hand is broken for the fourth time, continue to be creative and protect yourself from the spreading epidemic, you are a good human being
