"I'm dreaming of a fly press Christmas" 'cause that's the only way I'll have one!

I would love to see you make some tapered swedges for the fly press. I have been thinking of adapting some firewood splitting wedges for my flypress. Cheers from Western Australia.

Man I tried forging a H13 square drift for a nail header about 2months ago - it worked out in the end but man... when the steel cooled down to bright red it was harder than Chinese arithmetic!

That's definitely a time saver, with a bit more practice, possibly one and done👍

Roy some collars on the punches would be good insurance, otherwise terrific.

Question: where can I find pictures of different designs for hammers? Not engraved like yours, but more like the difference between an Alex Steele "square round" hammer vs an off the shelf from home depot kinda designs, I'm not talented enough for the fist, lol and the octagonal wide skinny wide isn't my kinda style.

Aren’t you losing some of the force of that hammer because it’s not anchored down tight enough? Seems to be bouncing

I forge that wimpy h13 stock by just pinching it between my steely fingers. 😂 …not. Makes me want a Holland…
