Very good breakdowns of character. But personally... i kinda wanna see characters tested in things like the memory of chaos rather than in simulated universe(since majority of it is just stacking the right cards. Like seriously, a character with no build can do 100k+(or 30% hp of any boss but w6) cuz of something like remembrance.) I feel like chaos and maybe some overworld stuff might be a better showcase... atleast thats what i wanna see anyways. Idk what everyone else wants.

I would like this because sometimes you might prefer a different character depending on the content you are doing. That isn't to say that a character can be multi-faceted, but I just feel like it's disingenuous if you don't bring up the other parts of the game you will be playing.

erudition are focused on mobbing with low single target. destruction characters can do both well which is crucial for the current memory of chaos. hook is also on rate-up banner for easy eidolons and destcruction in general has better light cone options than erudition atm.

In what sense? In boss damage? Sure Euridition characters have terrible st damage. Its their AOE that matters, and for farming Himeko is very good.

While pulling for Seele I got Hook to E6. So I built her. She is very good and her attack animations are pretty funny. I like how she attacks the enemy then turns and quickly runs away.

When you're easily influenced, and now you stop pulling for Seele and build Hook to perfection 😅

Finally someone is talking about Hook. CN is way ahead of us coz in their tier lists Hook it pretty high in ranks. But on global ... hook only gets hate. Game gave me a shit ton of Hooks and I built her only because of the max Eidolons - no regrets. She hits like a freaking truck and insanely consistent!

I accidentally main her in patch 1.0 cause that was my first E6 character and while farming for welt, I get fire set instead and give it to hook 🤣

Hook is my Fire DPS she’s awesome 👏 She’s really Pitch Dark Hook the Great.

Fun Fact: Hook's Rating via the Rating Pistol is only "6"

The burn duration is actually pretty big for consistency. When you get to enemies who have 30+ speed over you, there will be some turns where the enemy takes 2 turns before your Hook has their next one, so they eat up the burns. This Eidolon makes that not happen (unless they use those two turns to freeze you or something).

i thought the burns adding up anyways...so if they last 3 turns instead of 2, you can actually deal one instance more dmg or am i wrong? With E inflicting burn, ult inflicting burn and next turn another burn E, you are at 3 stacks..with some ER and another ult you are alrdy at 4 after 2 rounds. Idk if i did the math correct xD but even then, if you start the battle with her ult, enemy burns, you get buffed E which also activates the talent bcause enemy is burning from ult and now ur hitting 3 enemies and inflicting add burn to all of them which is pretty dope for a "single" target 4*

E0 Hook has been absolutely carrying my luckless ftp account. Good to see some people seeing her potential.

@@tardwrangler1019 Because anybody can get every character on C6 within a day by throwing 10000$ at the game. The fact they are free2 play means they had limited pulls in the game.

I think Hook is good because there's probably not going to be a 5* single target fire character for a little while. A worthwhile investment early on when you need to cover your types

Topaz is finally been leaked on the livestream but i feel like as a 4* fire dps she is still good even better than Himeko imo

Hook was the reason why I finished SU6 for the first time. Really solid plus a cute model so I approve of her.

Not the biggest Hook fan, but she seems to pair well with Asta who is my favourite character. The speed issues are solved by the ult and Asta has significant damage boost for fire.

I don't know if this will change your mind. But Hook's english voice actress is the same as Asta. Just think of her as a young Asta and you might see her as Adorable instead😂.

Hook is like a very strong character of your choice in clearing almost all levels in Jarilo-VI as most of the enemies are weak to fire. She’s even a carry in most sub-bosses and major bosses, mostly Bronya, Svarog, Cocolia, and Stellaron Cocolia

exactly i was fighting svarog with imbibitor lunae, bronya, asta and trailblazer(fire), and it only works sometimes when i get the right blessings. I was thinking of substituting hook for imbibitor lunae

Ive been using hook in my main team and she’s really powerful, especially with her ultimate on a character with fire weakness

she's really adorable in the story and Nat really mad at me because i always spoil her in the dialogue option lol Next Arlan, he such a fun character, feels like playing dark knight in FF!!

i just started playing today, did a trial run with a character and she was one of the ones there. i instantly wanted her after seeing her attacks and turns out she is one of the best 4 stars!? now i REALLY want her :D

I did have 1 small correction though, unless I misunderstood your comment: The 4* Cone with the dog, you said the second effect is for her burn dmg but it's actually ALL dmg, with burn being a conditional requirement for getting that dmg. This seems really sizable in the likely case you can maintain 100% burn uptime.

After transferring my good relics to her, my level 40 hook with level 2 traces hit like a truck (27k), i will now focus on her leveling more.

Looking at Hook now, would you change any of the gear with 1.5 being out? Would any of the new gear or relics offer better damage.

insane damage in hsr is conditional met at stacking damage type, synergy with the relic that match with damage type and the light cone too, for example stacking wind damages 3x of sampo has with wind relics and light cone that have stacking damage

I'm currently working on building her. I got her to 60 this morning and was super excited to see this video. I thought she looked pretty good, but all the reviews were negative, but heck, I'm an honorary member of the moles, wtf am I doing leaving her on the side lines? That and I got all 6 of her Eidolons pulling for Seele so there's that... XD

Sushang is also really strong when her passive activates her dmg is on par with my 2100 atk seele despite her being 1350 atk

I was unlucky with the event pulls, I did get Seele through the pity pull, however during that time, I managed to get all of Hook's eidolons. She is lowkey my second strongest character right now in terms of raw damage

Was hoping for Hook eidolons when pulling for seele, but ended up with E6 pela and natasha. No idea whether to be mad or happy since i am saving up for jing yuan right now.

Hook is my favorite character in the entire game. Got her and nat e6 and I always play with both of them. My favorite characters. My hook isn't maxed out bc I have focused on Yanqing and I don't have money to waste to constantly farm but she hits really hard. Used her to clear SU6 using a Nihility build. Yanqing, Hook, Natasha, and Fire Mc won it SUUUUUPER easily. Lvl 60 with lvl 60 light cones. Hook hard carry. So for anyone having trouble on SU6 and have Hook. Use her and try Nihility. I swept it

I have some serious question about that build. Are the bonus damage really better then more ATK stat? I mean, is that really good to have something that gives 15% bonus damage to ultimates when you can have a set that gives you 24% more atk? Has someone made some maths to verify this?

Can you make a video on Welt? I'm unsure what stat to focus on a DPS welt.

I have e6 on all the banner 4*s lmaoo and ive built my hook really well with about 30 crate and 120 cdmg and 2k attack and she hits like a truck, non simulated umiverse ult on burning targrts when it crits does 40k plus dmg

If you are going to go to simulated universe or more difficult content, perhaps its better to switch Herta for Bronya or Fire Trailblazer, i say this assuming Hook is your carry, so, combining the boofs from bronya and Asta makes her a beast.

actually, it's really useful for early game until mid level. but really, every enemies become so though and i ended up leave hook. but i really build her until lv 50 with more than 1,5k atk

Been wanting to build Hook since i got her e6, but no luck on relics and its not a priority as fire weakness us usually paired with lightning or quantum and i already have Serval and Seele.

I somehow did world 6 with only Fire MC as a fire character. Think Seele did the shield breaking. Abundance was stacked to the brim so I got bored and let it play auto

You can't really plan getting 4*: they might have a rate up but that doesn't mean they're guaranteed. Anyway, ideally you'd want both built for MoC to adapt to enemy weaknesses properly. But as fire dps Hook is a bit more valueable than Sushang since her 5* alternative is Himeko compared to Clara for phys dps (and possibly tanking or being SP neutral 2nd dps)

Would you say Hook is better than Dan Heng? I got them both and i need a non-physical damage dealer to my team (already have Clara in that role). I love Hook, but i levelled my Dan Heng to 30-ish (im still Traiblazer level 23) and i'm trying not to spend many materials... What do you guys think? Is Hook worth the investment instead of Dan Heng? I'm mostyl f2p and i'm saving for Jing Yuan

I got hook E6 before I got Seele or Pela on the current banner and I only got 1 natasha. In fact I even got an extra copy and if it were possible she would be E7 right now lmao. I was already starring to build her but now I know how

You're also wrong about On The Fall of an Aeon. Skill + ult are already two attacks and you have 32% atk up already. Getting to maximum of 4 stacks takes 3 turns. From that point on you have permanent 64% atk up. That's HUGE. It's by far her best in slot weapon.

I got e6 Natasha instead of hook. My hook is e2 it probably good enough I'm saving for the fox to get her at e4 are enough. Should i get the new upcoming 5* I feel like he is like itto without his lightcone he will be trash or decent to use.

May i request you to do a comparison between atk% and break effect% ? since dots cant crit, would it be better to just go for higher break effect/effect hit rate kinda set?

imo, you dont need effect hit rate for fire element... since the Burn dmg can be strengthen with good break effect or attack only. it goes the same with Wind Shear and Break. why? because you will get those DOTs likely when you break enemy toughness. effect hit rate only procs debuff like frozen/def down/slow.

You are correct, DoTs can'tcrit. What's more, Salsotto doesn't buff skill damage which is large portion of Hook's dps. Her best set is SSS because it gives 24% atk which boosts everything in her kit, including DoT damage

@@drwps. Enemies won't be broken in majority of turns. Hook wants enemies to always be burned to abuse her passive. Going full effect hit rate on her would sacrifice too much atk and crit but some effect hit rate is definitely good to have.

Welp suddenly really happy with my E6 Hook LOL

I mean... I'm doing half a million damage with preservation path while enemies kill themselves by attacking me (Svarog on World 4, difficulty 2 hits himself for 100k lol), so I'm not really hurting to build a new character. As someone else mentioned, maybe a better showcase would be Memory of Chaos because anybody can do crazy damage in SU. I genuinely do want to build Pitch-Dark Hook the Great, though.
